We should poach Richard Hughes. He is the best scouting network in the world.

A few facts about Mr Hughes..

Richard Hughes does not use spell check. If he happens to misspell a word, Oxford will change the spelling.

Massive rebuilding job at Bournemouth now.

Ake already gone, Wilson, King and Brooks all want to leave and will.

Them now losing Howe, is a big blow to them.

Agreed, looks like doom and gloom there.
Eddie knows this and that’s why he’s pissed off. Can see him at palarse replacing wow who may even move upstairs in a supporting role

It’s like mourning to the max in their forum. Lots of talk of finishing mid table in the championship maybe even end up league 1.

Anyone that is trying to be positive is being battered by the other forumites in droves.

Howe's blueprint was simple as they rise through the leagues, constantly signing high performing young players from other teams that didn't have as much money - Ritchie, Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser, Lewis Cook, O'Kane were all winning individual awards for their performances in the Football League and with Bournemouth being bankrolled by a billionaire they could just swoop in and take them from other clubs. The risk was minimal as they were already high performers. He struggled when they got to the Premier League and were all of a sudden unable to financially outgun rivals with a lot of their big money signings being abysmal.

On top of that, he added a simple passing game using lots of overloads on the wings, very clever set pieces and lashings of gamesmanship. The pinnacle was the Championship where they surrounded refs time and again and dived all over the place and had his permatanned assistant berating the fourth official all game long. He'll be able to replicate some of this elsewhere but chances are this is probably the highlight of his career and he won't be able to find repeat this formula elsewhere.

  8. Will be interesting to see how they get on without him. The side he bought up through the divisions is all but gone.

I get the impression that Howe was told that they were going to sell more players than he thought and that his budget was smaller, he was probably told that they would not be building a new training ground which is something that Howe wanted.

    Very good read.
Howe had a dossier on referees, which ones gave free kicks, penalties for the slightest touch. The players would surround the referee. Callum Wilson was perfect foil for his tactics.
Bournemouth are desperate for money. Howe wanted more money for transfers this summer. The Chairman was not wanting to give any money out. They want the transfer earnings to keep the club afloat.
I feel Howe realised that his time is up and his model is open news to many clubs and referees.
He will take a long break. I think he could end up at Portsmouth. They are not happy with Kenny Jackett. A poor start next season and he will be out. Pompey now have money, a good chairman and a very passionate crowd. A good fit for Howe.
The backroom staff at Bournemouth will go eventually. They are all mates of Howe.
    Interesting times.

I think Eddie will go to the CofE so he can be canonized.

The fraud has been found out. Knew without money Muff are finished. Losing most of his squad. Ramsdale may pop off to Burnley. Dyche fancies him if Pope leaves. We should pop in a bid for Surridge just to annoy them further.

Saint Eddie will no doubt pop up in the media while waiting for a plum job at Newcastle or Palarse. I can't see Struber wanting to jump from the frying pan into the firesale at Boscombe. Bye, bye Muff it wasn't nice knowing you.

Not aimed directly at you, but sometimes fans can only see the negative in something. Personally I like both tweets and I’m glad they both want to help get us promoted. Rather that than be looking to get out.

what was the story behind why Vydra was let go, didn’t get on with QSF or something else ?

QSF had a big issue with Vydra's attitude and didn't want him in the squad. He was sold after Mazzari didnt fancy him either.

QSF wanted to play with one up front and 3 behind. Vydra can't play as a loan striker, only really as a 2. He's a much better version of Gray.

Just looking at the 14-15 stats

    Deeney 21 goals
    Vydra 16 goals
    Ighalo 20 goals

can’t remember what format we played back then but guessing it must have been 2 upfront (like first year of prem), why the **** did we move to a loan striker

It helps that we had, arguably, the strongest forward line in Championship history.

Aren't their parachute payments running out completely now? Stoke for me Clive, still got quite a few of their Premier League players, but finally seem to have a decent manager to join them

Good call with Stoke. It doesn't matter when you have a Championship magician in charge. Warnock's sides are always difficult to play against normally.

King is arguably the most complete striker we've had in the past few decades. Pace, strength, excellent touch, could score almost any type of goal.

I have no doubt that without his knee injury and his off the field problems he would have gone on to become a very decent Premier League striker. Even with them he made a half decent fist of it.

I'd kill to have him back in his 05/06 form for this coming season.

Marlon, at the peak of his powers in that promotion campaign, was probably better than any striker we’ve had since we got promoted. He was on such a roll, and so full of confidence, I reckon he’d have had a brilliant season had it not been for the knee injury.

    Ha. Echoed Nath basically word-for-word.
