No way will Sarr be left at the mercy of the Championships finest cloggers. He will be bubble wrapped off to somewhere for a year or sold for a negligible profit

I'd rather either one goes now than in January. All that will do is mean that one or both of our most talented players go half way through the season, inevitably don't get replaced, and completely destabilises us.

It's in no way a positive for them to only stick around half of the season.

Yes but not all players are the same. Sarr doesn’t striker me as the type to sulk or kick off - he clearly wanted to join us in the summer but Rennes played hard ball right up until deadline day and he didn’t say a word.

Deulofeu will want to move - but that doesn’t mean he will sulk either. Some players are capable of getting their head down even if they desire a move.

    He won't.

No one is going to buy him while he's crocked. What's the point in paying for his wages and taking on the risk he might not be the same player after his injury has healed?

He suffered a double injury: ACL and torn meniscus. ACLs can take up to 9 months to heal, and then you have to get back to match sharpness beyond that. The torn meniscus should heal faster than that, but might be set back by the ACL injury because he can't properly rehab the knee while the ACL is still healing.

Figure November before the ACL is healed, and then he has to regain match fitness and sharpness, plus prove he's still got it after a nasty injury.

Earliest he'll be leaving is January, and that would quite something. I wouldn't be surprised if he's here for the season.

I hope your right. With those 2 in championship performing I’d be very confident of a fast return.

He was already posting videos of him back out, boots on, jogging on grass three weeks ago.

ACL injuries can take a very, very long time to get past, but it's clear that he's made an excellent and fast recovery thus far.

Jogging in a straight line is completely different to turning & twisting after that sort of injury...and his game is based on that.

Of course it is, but the fact remains that it's a sign of excellent and much faster than average progress with the injury.

I've torn my ACL myself and I'm a personal trainer, so I'm quite aware of the ins and outs of it. I would wager that, considering his accelerated progress so far and barring any set backs, he'll be back in light training towards the end of pre-season and available to play in late September.

The Watford Observer describe G.D. as ‘happy to listen to offers’ and say he and his agent are to sit down and consider options for next season.

Probably sounds more worrying than it is, because that’s just par for the course and common sense.

    Right.

I'm happy in my job, but I'm also willing to listen to offers. You'd be an idiot not to, just in case someone makes you the offer of a lifetime.

    Neither will be here.

Their agents won’t want them here, and we’ve hopefully learnt lessons about having players in the squad that won’t want to be here.

If either of them didn't have relegation release clauses in their contracts, they should find new agents.

Gazetto Del Sport has a big feature about us today. Claims Sarr, Doucouré and Deulofeu will be sold (along with Pereyra, which we knew). We will be pursuing a younger player transfer policy this summer

It’s still just an opinion piece when you translate it though. It’s nothing direct from the club or owner.

It’s like me suddenly getting the sack and the next day someone at the pub telling my mates ‘he’s selling his house’ - it’s their opinion because they assume I might have to. But not if I’m doing okay financially and find no one wants to buy it or can pay what it’s worth.

If rumours are to be believed then Kippy Klopp wants him, but it would depend on how much Liverpool would be willing to shell out.
I would love to have them both here for the future but any extra cash would certainly soften the blow of relegation finance wise. Sarr clearly
likes it here and a lot of the players seem to respect him. His two goals against Liverpool proved what a poacher and assured finisher he is, and
having him ripping up Champo defences would be a thing to see.

Nothing wrong with a Tuesday night out in Wycombe! At least people in Wycombe know how to drive, unlike the nutjobs in Turin.

They weren't willing to spend £50m or so to buy a player who may have been in their first XI, they're not gonna spend that on a player who, for now, definitely won't be (as much as he is bezzie mates with Mane)

Yeah, there's a debate going on right now about whether Liverpool would fork out the cash for Sancho or not, because he wouldn't necessarily come in and be an instant starter. That's not to mention the fact that they already bought Minamino a few short months ago. I really don't see what scenario there is in which Liverpool are interested in a very talented but extremely raw player who would come in, perhaps at fifth choice, and pay somewhere in the region of £40-50m to get him.

That being said, no way will he be risked/wasted in the Championship. Worst case scenario for the Pozzos would be shipping him to Udinese for the year. He's got a long contract, and he'd get a year of being a starter in a top league and learning a slightly different style of football. Added to that, he'll be in the shop window in a way he wouldn't in the Championship. That is, of course, if no one else comes in for him at the requisite price.

Then knowing our luck, even if we do go straight back up, his performances there will endear him to a team willing to splash the big bucks, and he'll go in 12 months time, so we'll still never see him feature for us again.

But I can't begin to imagine Deulofeu playing at adams park on a cold miserable winters night.. It's a bit like Elton John playing at the Three Pigeons on a Wednesday evening.

If we sell both we'll need to invest in some quicker players. Our squad is pretty slow.

With the possible exception of Pedro.

I think we either sell them and balance the books or they play, no point in loaning them out. It is almost certain promotion with those two in the squad. Winning The Championship is worth 150 million pounds, then we would be back up receiving TV money. In my opinion the Pozzo's should just be ruthless and go for it.

Even Pedro doesn't look particularly quick to me. Doesn't mean he's not/won't be a good player, but doesn't look as quick as Deulofeu and certainly not Sarr.
