Some consolation if we do go down – Paddy Power has identified Watford fans as the most foul-mouthed football supporters on social media. 8.5% of all Watford fans’ tweets contain a swear word, apparently. https://news.paddypower.com/footbal...-top-table-of-premier-leagues-sweariest-fans/ We should celebrate this success with a new chant (if we’re ever allowed back in to stadiums again). How about ‘Most foul-mouthed supporters on social media – you’ll never sing that’
This could ******* well run for ages. I think I would recommend it at a sort of therapeutic level. Something we might well need come the Arsenal game, by Jupiter.
Probably all those Liverpool fans using the hashtag to give Troy stick over his stance on the season.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth fans still don't know about social media, and are sitting in their sun-baked conservatories with the digital clock blinking at 12:00 on their VHS.
In all seriousness, I'm surprised it hasn't been West Ham, their team has been just as bad as us (worse relative to the respective quality our two teams have) and their fans do swear a fair bit (at least one of their forums doesn't have a swear filter), rather than mild-mannered Watford.
Maybe if they checked for faahkin'ell and caaants it's possible West Ham would count as more profane than us.
The First Law of Football Insults. Insults increase proportionally to the direness of performances. No wonder we are on top. The amount of invective hurled at the screen last evening would have made a hardened sea dog blush.
