Our last few coaches have all been guilty of that. QSF said he was getting pressure from the owner to change formations, I wouldn't be surprised if our coaches are forced to play the same old names as they are all assets in the shop window.
If he gets dropped for the next couple of games I'm pretty certain everybody will be saying he should start. I agree I don't think he's quite good enough anymore but he's a long way off being the worst performer since the return of football.
The issue is not TD. He's 32 and his career is on the wane. The issue is the complete lack of any decent alternatives.
The problem is it’s not working at the moment and the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. Maybe if we stick with him long enough we’ll eventually win a penalty he can score, but I really feel at this stage we have nothing to lose by dropping him and trying something else.
I don't disagree with dropping him but he is getting a lot more stick than most which is unfair in my opinion. I would say Will Hughes is the only player who is playing ok at the moment
Yes you’re probably right, it’s not his fault. But lumping it up to Deeney is just getting really quite depressing. Pearson deserves criticism if anyone does.
If Deeney were to be dropped the media would be baffled. He's the only Watford player they've heard of, apart from the likeable Ben Foster, oh and someone called Doucoure who looked quite good once.
I have tried, tried and tried again, but cannot see how this is going to be anything other than an absolute shafting.
We've still got Nigel Pearson He thought he knew exactly what we need But now it's more greed then heed Cathcart getting slack Deeney getting fat Watford say farewell to Premier League
No timorous Timori or Kovacic to trouble us tomorrow. Shame Chelsea are not playing their youth team. We might just have a chance then. Hope Gilmour's not playing either.
Rumour has it that Pearson has fallen out with Gino and Duxbury. Working to order only. Shakespeare is doing most of the work. The stories of the lack of preparation and fitness would ring true if the coaching staff are at loggerheads with the board. Wgat a complete joke we are if it is true. I will not be watching the game tomorrow, though l will place €10 on 5-0 to Chelsea. Apprécier le jeu.
I won't be taking much notice of this game as there is the small matter of the Epsom Derby and Epsom Oaks.
Had a long hard talk with Mrs Mazz last night about whether to watch the match. There was tears, shouting, and laughter. I'm going to watch it....
That’s no excuse. They’re not being run at 8pm. Take your medicine like a man, along with the rest of us.
Well on the on the Press conference held by Shakespeare he was asked by one of the journalists if Nigel will be involved! Which I thought was a strange question to ask.
A director at another Premier league club. Also, Eddie Howe's contract will be reviewed, survival or not. He knows this. All speculation?
Ok. A director at another club in competition with WFC? I see. If Pearson had fallen out with Gino and Duxbury then it’s hardly likely he’d just stand aside and ‘work to order’. Sorry, but none of this makes a lot of sense other than we are crap and everyone needs a reason.
Hopefully Gino has noticed the obvious loophole and ordered Pearson to win all our remaining matches.
Foster; Femenia, Dawson, Kabasele, Masina; Doucoure, Capoue; Welbeck, Pereyra, Sarr; Gray. 4-2-3-1. Don't care what pair of centre backs play, they're all sh!t. Doucoure & Capoue to hold, get right in faces. Hughes for Capoue if need be as he has been our best player and would be unfair if he missed out. Play Pereyra in the #10 role in his best position on the half-turn ready to feed through balls into Gray. Get the ball out wide repeatedly to Sarr and target Alonso who goes to sleep defensively. If Sarr puts in 10 crosses, Gray, unlike Deeney, will get onto one. He's an awful footballer but he knows how to poach.
Happy 4th of July @luke_golden! Hopefully Pulisic celebrated by having a little soccerball game at home that 'got out of hand' last night...
Thanks, though since I moved here, I’ve stoically refused to celebrate the acts of terror against our good King, committed by the treasonous rebels. I share your hope for Pulisic, but he seems like a particularly focused and driven young man. I think it’s more likely he destroys us.
