Is this where Leeds start bottling it again?

Mind you WBA and Fulham slipped up too.

It would be fun to see Bielsa in the Premier League even if it was managing Leeds. Can't see beyond WBA and Leeds at the moment. Could make life even tougher next season as they can spend and we stay up.

Leeds using the cardboard cut outs to fill some seats at Elland Road. Can you spot the odd one out?

Huddersfield and Stoke showing what can happen if you go down from the Premier league and not prepared for the Championship.

Don't be silly. Do you honestly think Gino and Giraldi won't be prepared? All these gloomsters that think we'll struggle next season have no faith in our owners. Sad!

First time in my life that I wanted the Scum to win. Took a punt at 12/1 gave me a run for my money.

  16. At least next year we can end all this silly nonsense about muff and palace being our rivals, the river island kids are going to be in for a reality check when they experience real rivals coming to town for the first time

Agreed. Its now over 14 years since we played them-prior to that the previous longest gap was 7 (between 72-79) and before that was over 30 years pre and then post war when we were in Div 3 South and they were in Div 2 until we met in 1963.

The Stone Island massive will be nowhere to be found as the Luton lot attack families again. A lot to look forward to and be thankful for.

    Wigan into administration.

Very sudden - no proir rumours etc.

Something happened we don't know about?

    Guess it's Coronavirus related.

    First of a few potentially.

Really just confirms what I was saying in the other thread, relatively speaking championship clubs are going to be absolutely screwed compared to us if we go down. It will only be the teams that come down with us that we’ll have to worry about.

It will be interesting to see what happens though anyway. Standard points deduction for them would be 12 points which puts them bottom. But can teams be blamed for being affected by a global pandemic? Yet if they don’t deduct the full 12 is that fair on the teams at the bottom?

I hear Baz has turned up at Wigan with a fishing rod, 6 cans of Carling and a bag of chicken saying he can save the club.

Feel really sad for Wigan - they had been on a fantastic run of form to get themselves out of the relegation battle in the Championship. I had been keeping half an eye on them, thinking they seemed to have pulled together as a team and done exactly what I had hoped our lot would do.

Luton survival looking more and more likely with 5 points from 3 games undefeated, Wigan in admin, Hull and Huddersfield in freefall.

Hopefully the Herts police can remember what our matches use to be like. It’s been about 14 yrs since we last played them.

25 points in last 12 games now so maybe they can continue this into their last 6 games so the 12 points deduction will not put them in the bottom 3 at the end

I seem to remember the chief of police on the radio the day before the league cup game saying they had everything under control and there would be no issues!

Relegation battle is mad down there, Wigan of course have the 12 pt deduction to come, but with their form, you wouldn't bet against them staying up if their heads are still in it. Even Hull, who hadn't won since NYD have started to pick up points again (just got a crucial win at home to Boro), meanwhile, the Premier League bottom 4 may never win again!

I think the 12 point deduction is at the end of the season but only if they are not in the bottom 3, to relegate them.
Should they be in the bottom 3 anyway, the deduction is carried over so they start on -12 in league 1.

The Wigan takeover seems pretty dodgy.

Why buy a club, and then refuse to fund it the following day?

They also have an incredibly easy run in. Reading, Barnsley, huddersfield, QPR, hull and Blackburn. 3 relegation rivals and 3 mid table sides with nothing to play for. Only 4 points from safety they really should be able to make up the ground.
