Not yesterday because he didn't have a target man or two up top from what I witnessed. He adapted the style to the players he had at his disposal and it worked a treat . They were playing some very good stuff at stages.

Someone once told me "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard".

That's our team in a nutshell, unfortunately.

We’re struggling for the same reason West Ham are struggling. Like us, they have players that have individual quality but when it comes down to working as a team and actually giving a **** about the team they’re playing for, there’s very few players there that can put their hands up saying they do

Unfortunately, its a case where those players that dont give a **** outnumber the players that do, and in the event where you’ve got players like Mark Noble and Will Hughes that do care, you’ve got ***** like Andre Gray, Pereyra and Haller who all drag the good players down.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a passionate manager, the players not caring only psychologically does the same to the manager. I thought it was pretty evident in the game against Southampton that Pearson visually and understandably couldn’t care less anymore. In other words he’s gone “**** it, why am I stressing myself out over this when my own players haven’t got a single thread of determination”. When they had a water break, Hasenhuttl was evidently communicating with his squad in a circle whilst Pearson stood behind all of the Watford players as they drank what was seemingly water, laced with some sort of sedative

I can’t see us staying up now. The fight we had when Pearson first joined is now completely gone. I’ve said it before but passion can only take you so far in professional football... funnily enough, tactics do come into play in this game... we just seem so void of any

Depends on what they're trying to achieve to be honest. We're not going to get into Europe, win any silverware, sell out a 50,000 seater or become a global brand. The Pozzos know this and they don't have any other sizeable business interests. The best game for them is to do the bare minimum to keep us in the Premier League and make money for themselves. They've sailed a bit close to the wind this time and have got it so wrong that we might drop down to the Championship.

If so, I'd expect them to make the most of the parachute payments then either sell us or drastically cut costs. I presume they might have a bit more sentimentality in relation to Udinese but who knows, really? Ultimately they're quite unique as football businessmen, rather than businessmen who fancy football as a bit of a side show. I doubt they care anywhere near as much about our results as our finances, albeit the two can't be separated when talking about relegation. As long as we scrape enough points together to stay up and keep the TV money rolling in, it's another successful season for the Pozzos.

It's increasingly difficult given the number of clubs with rich states, corporations , oligarchs behind them. It's a billionaires club now. There are rumours some dodgy so-and-sos interested in Burnley. Newcastle look to be going that way.

I’m not sure how dependent Gino is on Papa Pozzo but that has to be key? I can’t see why Gino would have as much sentimentality about Udinese. He’s lived in the UK and run Watford for 7 years now. Constantly at the training ground and goes to matches home and away, so far from an absentee owner.

Funnily enough, Brighton tried a very clever FK today against United, which narrowly missed the target.

After today's win at West Ham, Burnley have impressively picked up 25 points from their last 12 games, more than doubling their points tally.

How have they done it? They were terrible in between beating us and their lucky win against Leicester and looked likely to get sucked in the relegation scrap.

    One word, collectiveness.

They are a team. Same reason Sheff Utd are doing so well. Not blessed with talented individuals, but they fight for each other. When everyone is bought in, then things can happen. We have too many lone rangers who play without care for the club or the fans.

Our lot don’t have collectiveness, simple as that.

It’s the classic acronym TEAM - Together Everyone Achieves More.

All the ugly stuff. Back to basics. Everyone puts in a shift, they are committed and they have a manager who is very demanding. Dyche has players who will run through brick walls for the cause.

Is their squad superior to ours? No, in fact I'd say we have better individual players in a lot of areas.

They do not make silly mistakes and can see out a game. Our players have all got a mistake in them and they crap themselves when we get to the last 15 minutes of a game. We just do not know how to see out a match. We're useless at it. Even against Norwich, they should have equalised. Only an extraordinary miss gave us the win. We always give a big chance away in the final few minutes.

Burnley stifle the match. They kill the opposition because they appear so strong. It wears their opponent down. This is why they grind out so many 1-0 wins.

Not trying to be controversial, but I can honestly say that our football this season has been a lot more entertaining than Watford's, and the relative degrees of happiness of the fans on message boards bear that out. Pretty passing is a good thing to have, I'm sure. But when it comes down to it, we all want first and foremost to win. Bournemouth have spent a lot more money than either Burnley or Watford, and they have a reputation for pretty football, but look on upthecherries - they aren't happy. They aren't entertained. Playing "entertaining football" badly, is not entertaining at all.

To be fair, having only 12 fit players does affect the way we play as well. They're very much on a "backs to the wall, they shall not pass" attitude at present. Whatever else people may think of Dyche, no-one can deny that his teams week after week after week go out to play with the attitude that their life's work is to win the game.

There is nothing entertaining about Burnley's style of play but at least it's consistent whether they're grinding out 1-0s in the top half of the table or trying to move themselves away from the relegation zone.

Teams like Bournemouth and Watford are far more appealing when the confidence is high and the ball is being moved around. But it's a dreadful watch when that disappears and turns into ponderous sideways passing or lumping it long, as well as having a weak defence and a lack of bottle.

But no, Burnley haven't played better football than anyone in the league, they've just been more effective at what they do and their fans are happy with that. Incidentally, defensive football can still be an interesting watch - Atletico Madrid for instance, or Greece when they won the Euros. But they were defensive teams that could also play football, Burnley aren't. No-one wants to watch 90+ minutes of spoiling tactics every week.

It's more entertaining watching Eastenders than us currently so to say you more entertaining to watch than us starting at fairly low level. Can't knock you lot though, keep getting the results despite not having Barnes, Wood and now Mee. Rodrigues has looked very good though. Thank you for beating West Ham!

At our best, we can play good football too. When we are better than the opposition, such as the home games v Norwich and Bournemouth, and to a fair extent the homes draws with Spurs and Arsenal too (we should have won both) just before lockdown, we played some good stuff. It does still invlove fewer sideways passes and more long forwards passes, perhaps, but as a rule football near the opponents' goal is more entertaining that football in your own half.

Where we are now of course is backs to the wall, fighting against the odds, lots of injuries and few subs, players giving their all to get the win over the line. It's not entertainment for the purist, but for the fan of your own club, it's entertaining in its own way. you can forgive lack of talent and silky skills to a very large extent if the man is working his socks off and doing his absolute best.
