Hi fellow Orns, I've been following WFCForums for a while but never actually posted before. My reason for posting is to get initial thoughts on the website I've been building with a mate over the last few weeks. Our idea is to create a social network/platform that is just for football. The logic is that club specific forums like WFCForums are great, Twitter can be great for football news and Instagram can be great for following your favourite players, but there's no social network that is dedicated to football fans and football content. That's the thinking anyway... The website has only been live for a week so it's very early stages but we're keen to get a sense from fans whether this is something that could work. You can create/join public or private fan groups, follow and connect with your friends, find other fans who are like you, start general football discussions in the forum section, upload any football based content on the main feed etc. etc. The site is open to browse and takes just 30 seconds to sign up - at this early stage we clearly need to build up a userbase and content so please sign up if you think this could potentially be of interest - the link is here: https://thefootballmash.com Cheers for the feedback and let's pray for a return to Vicarage Road soon!
None taken! We think it could work but it's the kind of platform that people will use when other people use it, so building it up to that level from nothing is a challenge.
I’d been wondering where I’d be able to find a Luis Nani fan group, and then bang, my prayers were answered. Top work.
Also, if you’ve been following this site for a while, you’d know that none of us have the slightest interest in football.
You're wasting your time here son. I think you'd be better off asking on Tickety Instaface or wherever it is de yoot dem are doing their internetting these days. Message boards are the Betamax of football discussion. Reams of impenetrable text with barely even a picture. The only ones you'll find here desperately clinging on to the slowly rotting carcass are a load of old codgers arguing about Brexit and picking fault with one another's spelling and punctuation. Trying to get any of us onto a "social network" would be like trying to get a caveman to use an iPad.
