I’m not a scientist as you well know. In this case the absence of you being able to show any conclusive evidence that is contrary to my original point is the proof. World leaders and scientists around the globe have said that the virus can affect anyone, anywhere. I’m happy at this point to go with that and argue it’s merits. If you don’t accept that as my answer then fine, I’ll live with that. I in turn, have repeatedly asked you 2 questions and you’ve failed to give an answer to either of them. So I’m giving up expecting one. We will both have our thoughts on why you won’t (or can’t) provide them.

You took exception to me using the word ‘anyone’ - and had it explained to you why it was a fair word to use. That much is clear.

I'm not sure if a19tgg was being serious with that point.

    But anyway:

So then prove to me that an 8 year-old can die from a single drop of clean water landing on the fingernail of the index finger of their left hand from a distance of 5mm.

Let’s all get back to how pathetic Tammy Abraham is for living at home at 22?

No it's not - for those that claim there is a God, in line with the scientific method the burden of proof is on them to prove that there is a God, not on those that don't think there is one to provide evidence for a negative/something which is non-existent.

As with me here with you, it doesn't stop those who don't believe there is a God rebutting the claims put forward by those who think one exists, but the ultimate burden is still with you. It remains unproven until proven otherwise (though often even after something has supposedly been "proven" to exist, it is rather regarded as a theory).

And you can point at anyone and say with certainty that they won't die if the contract Covid-19.

But I can point to examples of children that have died from Covid-19 and that, by definition, proves there is that possibility.

Whether they might have survived in a different country is irrelevant. The virus killed them and proves that it can happen, even if it is extremely rare.

I've no doubt that science will, one day, fully explain the difference responses different patients have had and we can point to someone then, based on their age, genetic makeup or whatever, and say you are definitely not at risk at all. But we simply are not there yet.

I'll definitely leave it there now as I've clearly explained why the statement "anybody can die from Covid-19" is factually correct. And, until there is peer reviewed science explaining exactly what makes someone invulnerable to the virus, that will remain the case.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. He's very much a very overweight TVOR-clone who thinks he's a lawyer and thinks a football forum is a court of law. He probably hasn't been out for 10 weeks despite the 'lack of risk' he talks about all the time.

He can't live without his football.

There are people around the world dying in that age bracket. It is the same disease. Therefore anybody can die from it

You haven't. And the peer reviewed science will rather have to prove how anyone can die from the virus, even a healthy 10 year-old in the UK, when there is no evidence for it. You have to prove the existence of something - without the evidence you can't prove it.

A 4 year-old in New York (with an underlying condition) dying of coronavirus is nowhere near sufficient proof or evidence that a healthy 10 year-old in the UK can die from coronavirus. Neither is one 6 year-old in Iran, etc.

You just don't have the evidence to prove that it is correct. It's that simple.

Please prove what links a dead 6 year-old in Iran to a completely independent, unrelated healthy 10 year-old in the UK to the point where you can sufficiently support that claim. I won't hold my breath.

I didn’t mention the poor kid in Iran, I said that people have died of all ages around the world. Just because there hasn’t been one in this country doesn’t mean there can’t be one.

  14. lowerrous

The point is it's still up to you to prove that there can be, despite the distinct lack of evidence.

There is evidence of people of all ages dying across the globe. There is no evidence that there is anybody who is completely safe

In other news, I hope the Premier League star who (allegedly) flew to Paris to host a sex party isn’t one of the players saying they’re worried about safety issues associated with playing matches again.

What a farcical situation. I mean, who goes all that way only to have to host a sex party?

Have you even read the thread, or are you just choosing to spout the same drivel that others have rolled out which I've already discounted? Around 20-40% of people that have contracted coronavirus are asymptomatic.

Also, please show me a story of an 8 year-old anywhere who has died from coronavirus (not that it matters anyway, as isolated incidents are not proof of the risk posed to completely unrelated people elsewhere in the world).

    Stop being such a simpleton.

You have failed to discount anything anyone has put to you. You’ve only done that in your head whilst patting yourself on the back.

We could have the 50 most pre-eminent doctors and scientists round a table and ask them if it’s true that anyone at this point can die of coronavirus? Or is it true that at this point there are people in undisputedly cannot kill?

I know what the answers would be. I’m comfortable in claiming it would be unanimous. But in the absence of me being able to drag those individuals onto a football forum to say as much, then keep asking for a burden of proof to prove you wrong. I would say that it was you who took issue with what I said in the first place - so I would therefore say the burden of proof has been on you to dispute with evidence what I originally said. You’ve failed to do that at every turn.

But other than that, carry on. I really am bailing out of this ridiculous conversation now!

Lol, you first try and claim that the arguments for which I have provided evidence and reasoning for are imagined, and then you try and claim that to be the case by yourself inventing in your own head a non-existent round-table of scientists in absence of presenting real proof.

Perhaps it'll be a warning to you to not make such inane, groundless, scaremongering statements in future.

Give it up. You’re getting boring. If you want the burden of proof on that, just look at some of the comments aimed in your direction.

If I’m going to take ‘warnings’ from anyone, rest assured it won’t be from the likes of you.

So L2 has officially been voided. Thats it done then. No promotions relegations in that leauge trickles up to the Premiership.

Get ready for a new season now, whenever it can happen.

Edit: Sorry had to re read it. Finishing L2 "as is". So, we're safe?

Lasted 20 mins of the bundesliga before turning it off. Completely pointless exercise.

I literally couldn’t feel less interested in football right now if I tried.

It’s not been voided. They’ve agreed they won’t play any further games but promotion is still on the cards. They’ve asked for no relegation but no guarantee the EFL board or the FA will agree to that.
