The above is pretty much what they're suggesting in Germany which is:

    No champion.
Top 4 all qualify for Europe.
    Nobody gets relegated.
Top 2 teams from the 2. Bundesliga get promoted.
5 teams instead get relegated in 20/21.

    Would be good for us!

    Liverpool not champions.
    Leeds don't go up.
    We don't go down.

    I can live with that.

Nope. Ben Chilwell’s and James Maddison’s insistence that they do a stupid handshake every couple of minutes can’t help.

Looks like it’ll be off then.

That’ll be me and my fellow Leicester fans off down the nearest cancer ward for a good laugh instead.

  9. "Six pints of bitter," said Ford Prefect to the barman of the Horse and Groom. "And quickly please, the world's about to end."

The barman of the Horse and Groom didn't deserve this sort of treatment; he was a dignified old man. He pushed his glasses up his nose and blinked at Ford Prefect. Ford ignored him and stared out the window, so the barman looked instead at Arthur, who shrugged helplessly and said nothing.

So the barman said, "Oh yes, sir? Nice weather for it," and started pulling pints.

He tired again. "Going to watch the match this afternoon then?"

    Ford glanced round at him.

"No, no point," he said, and looked back out the window.

"What's that, foregone conclusion then, you reckon sir?" said the barman. "Watford without a chance?" "No no," said Ford, "it's just that the world's about to end."

"Oh yes, sir, so you said," said the barman, looking over his glasses this time at Arthur. "Lucky escape for Watford if it did."

My compete guess would be "Premier League and EFL look set to announce both will be suspended until at least Apr 4th, when situation will be reviewed. Hearing EFL board agreed on this unanimously. Premier League meeting happening in 10 mins when clubs will be urged to follow suit."
Remember, you heard it here first.

The PL is pretty long already with 20 clubs. BL at least has an advantage in only currently having 18 clubs.

Also, I think Man Utd and Sheffield Utd would have significant grounds to feel aggrieved with "top 4 all qualify for Europe".

Premier League postponed until 3 April
All Premier League matches have been postponed until 3 April at the earliest because of the coronavirus.

That means all professional football in England is off.

    PEARSON 'UNDERWHELMED' BY BORIS' LEADERSHIP

Watford head coach Nigel Pearson says prime minister Boris Johnson's leadership was underwhelming during last night's public address.

“I don’t think we had any great leadership last night listening to the prime minister," said Pearson.

“I was totally underwhelmed by the lack of leadership and clear message in terms of what was said in that press conference.”

I think we can all support Nigel to be PM?

    Good presser by Nigel.

Agree when he says playing behind closed doors is naive, what about the players, coaching staff and admin staff? Fans want to see their teams play so what's the point of closed doors.

All games are off until April 3rd at the earliest. This is Premier League and EFL games.

That sounds like a long time, but actually it's only 2 games, as there is an International break included in that timeline.

So we should all stop work and stay at home. What is good for footballers should be good for everyone.

They don't care about the fans who actually go to games when they are moved for TV, but now we are the most important things to the game and pointless without us, it is all bull.

Suspending is the right thing to do, vulnerable players with pre-existing conditions like Danny Welbeck and Daryl Janmaat are at great risk

Glad they have made a sensible decision and suspended the games for a few weeks.

Just frustrated with all the "fans are important to the game" bull, as we all know the fans who go to games are no where near the top of their priority list.

Not feeling unwell (thankfully) but do feel better for a rant. :)

Personally I think the PL have to void the season and throw some compo to the EFL.

If matches get postponed and played in the summer we might avoid Man C/Arsenal as our last two matches of the season......

All football postponed until 3rd April per the man at ESSO.
    Worrying if true.
By brother was planning to take his son to the park for a kickabout this pm. He'll be devastated but not worth getting locked up.
