Edmund into the New York final in a very weak field.
Hazelwood v Will to Win ( Regents Park ) in Middlesex Cup semi today.
I looked on their site and their head coach, same qualification as me ( L5 Master Performance Coach ) but far lower playing level,is charging £60 an hour for a lesson!
    Even their L3s charge £46!
It must be a mixture of obscenity and customer stupidity I suppose.

  2. I Blame Pozzo

Edmund beats Seppi to win in New York.
Hazelwood beat WtW RP 4-2 inside to reach the final.
A team of nations, two of them Amazonian. I was nearly a Polo Mint on two occasions! Sharpens the volleying reflexes that's certain!

  3. I Blame Pozzo

Simon beats Medvedev in the battle of the skinny players in Marseille. Odd score,6-4 6-0.
Tsitsipas beats the returning Pospisil to face Bublik, the crazy server.
Auguer Aliassime, having reached the Rotterdam final last week and had three sets and been match points down in previous two rounds, beats Gerasimov the improving Bulgarian. He plays Simon.

    Halep wins in Dubai.
    Men in Dubai this week.
Hazelwood beat Southampton University 4-0 to qualify for NPL play offs but this is now a one pair shoot out.
    Who on earth decided that?
Tennis governance is fast becoming comparable to football.

Evans beats Rublev and pkays Tsitsi at luchtime.
ND crushes Khachanov to play Monfils in the other semi final.
Edmund's revival is short lived in Acapulco as he loses to Taylor Fritz or Tommy Paul or another daftly named American.
    Heather Watson into semi finals.

Heather Watson into the top 50 I heard.

Obviously having a very good start to the year.

Must be pretty serious - guess they would have players and coaches traveling from all across the world.

    Will it be rescheduled ?

I think I have a solution the the BOG ROLL shortage, just use your bare hands instead because that will have a double whammy effect, as everyone will also remember to wash their hands if they use that method :D

I doubt it,the tour barely has a spare week.
Someone had contracted the virus in the area and given the amount of fans and air travel it was inevitable I suppose.
Rome and even Roland Garros must be fearful, together with all european clay events.

  17. I Blame Pozzo

ATP tour cancelled for six weeks.
RG likely to go and Wimbledon too.
Oddly the seniors in Miami April 23 yet to be cancelled, although only a matter of time I suppose.

    Some tennis to play!
Hazelwood v The Queen's Club,2pm tomorrow in the Middlesex Cup final.
Old girls v recent tour pros.
    Goodbye cruel world!

TQC have just tried to postpone the match, clearly the prospect of travelling to the slums of Winchmore Hill terrifies their sensibilities!
They were told to get on with it by the organiser.
Baa and Faith are coming from Oxfordshire, the worst hit county!
I'm looking for my The The edition of 'Infected'.

Queen's win after some close matches.
Inverdale junior on their team, how I wished I'd gone as Bartoli!
The match was spoiled by their flimsy attitude. They wouldn't even touch elbows, odd given that we'd been handling the same tennis balls for five hours!
Only Andrea, the Russian with the Roller stayed for supper and she was very unimpressed with her team.
Bunch of entitled middle/upper class saps who give tennis its bad name in most eyes.

French and US Open to be played straight after one another in September... potentially!

Not sure how RG can be accommodated so close to FM.
No tennis competitions until a review by LTA April 20.
Thank goodness we won our 40s league a month ago although I half expect Wretchworth to try and void it,despite losing 8-0 to us!

Wimbledon postponed until next year. But some people more worried about their ballot tickets for the finals than comprehending the situation around them.

  24. UEA_Hornet

People can still buy the same ballot tickets for next year. What they moaning about?

So will they not have a ballot for next year's Championship?

Think I read they were refunding too ?

  26. I Blame Pozzo

Never underestimate how truly selfish members of most tennis clubs can be!
At a previous club an admittedly deeply unpleasant man thought the club should not hold a ballot and give them to the committee members as "there should be a reward for doing this".
    No,didlo, you're a volunteer!
Not long to Flushing Meadows with only a few exhibition events to watch and both long finished.
Djokovic's ill advised 'Adria Tour' was scrapped due to the cavalier approach and subsequent outbreak of positive tests.
Djokovic personified, trying to hard to be popular and ending up like an agile version of Alan Partridge!
The Ultimate Tennis Showdown was a much better entity. No crowds, everyone keeping their distance and no ball people.
Berrettini won against Tsitsipas in an innovative competition, the brainchild of Moratoglou. I have used it with players old and young and all enjoy it.
I'm hoping to get a call up to FM as judging by the withdrawals there will be spaces in the draw!

Murray beats Tiafoe in three at FM in the Western and Southern Open. Plays Zverev next.
    Norrie,Edmund and Watson lose.

    Standard then!

Sounds like most of the top men are playing at the US Open but not many of the ladies.

  29. I Blame Pozzo

RF and Rafa apart yes oh and probably Nishikori who has had two positive tests.
Evans beats Rublev. A good win.
Evans has just the game to confuse the good but rather prosaic Rublev.

    Raonic defeats Evans.
    Konta beats Pipkins err Flipkins.
Baa is very taken with Serena's new garment and wants it for team kit!
Not sure I am brave/foolish enough to attempt it.
Mr IBB, putting down his '1001 Dives of Mr Tumble' for a second says nor do I have "the bottom".
I think this is a compliment but I'm not entirely sure!

Very good win for Murray in 3 sets.

    Raonic next.

  32. I Blame Pozzo

Zverev has gone backwards in the last eighteen months and now has lost his service feel.
It will be interesting v Milos as AM can usually dismantle the big servers by neutralising their big weapon.
Isner v Tsitsi and Djokovic v Berankis too today.

  33. I Blame Pozzo

    I Blame Pozzo First Team

    Wrong.
Djokovic v Sandgren, who beat Augur Aliassime.

  34. I Blame Pozzo

    I Blame Pozzo First Team

    Raonic eases past Murray.
Tsitsi beats the serve on a stick Isner in two tight sets 6&4.
    Medvedev and Berrettini also through.
    Konta plays Sakari today.
Expect almost all GB players to be supporting Maria.
