Absolutely serious. He's all fart and no poo most of the time. Bags of ability but his poor decision making coupled with the fact he looks dead on his feet after an hour mean he is inconsistent and wasteful. I'm also well aware that if he consistently played at the height of his abilities he would not be at Watford. When he is 'on it' he is brilliant. When he isn't on it he is a waste of a shirt.
That's a good shout. I think it is a bit far fetched to say Deulofeu is our best player of all time when he isn't even the best player in the current team. Sarr is a better player than Deulofeu by some distance.
I think he's a Gylfi Sigurdsson type. Big fish small pond. I don't think he'll look so spectacular elsewhere, his inconsistencies and decision making is why he's at Watford.
Brilliant player. Even in his less than impressive days he's class. A constant threat and worry to the opposition. Always trying to unhinge his opponent with his direct running and trickery. It doesn't always come off, but I love the bloke. He's a winner.
When is he due his next good game? It is v liverpool this weekend or against palace? Can someone do the calculations please.

Looked like he did his knee ligaments. Obviously purely speculation and I’m not a medical professional, but I don’t think a knee is supposed to point in the direction his did. Surely out for the rest of this season, possibly the start of next? Might mean we have him in our squad for the first half of the Championship season if we’re looking for silver linings.
We'll see him around Christmas time with our medical department. Such a shame, despite what some may think he's a fantastic player and staying up just got a lot harder without him.

Been confirmed as an ACL, not yet sure how long he's out for, but it's almost certain he's out for the season as we all suspected. No idea what this means for his future at the club (could actually mean that we're more likely to keep him), but a lot of pages in our story before we worry about next season. At least we have Sarr back, and if Pereyra can play like he did last night, we still have a big chance
Hope it’s a quick and good recovery for GD. Personally I think he’s worked really hard for the team and I love watching him play.

I don't know so I'm just guessing, but I'd imagine big earners like Deulofeu will have relegation wage cuts in their contracts. If we go down Gerard might have to slum it on something like 40k a week, until he leaves in January that is!
I suspect that our top notch signings wouldn't sign for a minnow like us if there was such a clause. I expect Mariappa has such a clause ....
