Very funny if you ask me.

  2. Actually, whilst shedding no tears for Muff, incredibly unprofessional from the ref.

Both probably got big egos and wanted their say.

Could have all been sorted in private.

Moss hadn't reffed Bournemouth before this season - now we know why !

It just goes to show what they are really like. It's very hard pinning down the officials as being prejudiced and biased, but things like this steer you in the direction of how a lot of them think.

Too many Premier League referees are in it for themselves. They believe they are 'box office' in their own right. It's no surprise to me that Jon Moss has acted in this way, but we know how the PGMOL work. They will probably reward him by giving him a high profile game or another cup final. Yay.

I believe he told them to "**** off" because they're "a cheating bunch of diving w*****s".

To be honest the amount of crap the refs have to put up with from players in the game its no wonder one of them finally snapped. People see this behaviour then it gets duplicated in grass roots football. I personally think the refs need more protection or need to pull out more yellow cards if they start getting harrassed by players.

Well as a professional experienced ref I guess he somehow managed to show some restraint ?

Well yeah. But they won't. Wayne Rooney is a great example actually, used to call the refs 'a ******* c*nt' time after time and no yellow card or ban. I remember he had to borderline headbutt a linesman to get a yellow against us.

Most of them are **** at their jobs but the way they fanboy to the 'celeb players' like a girl outside a Ed Sheeran concert is pathetic.

What they should do is rather than respond with little digs they should send the players off or book them for dissent as is law - but as said above they don't so the players think they can get away with all sorts of abuse.

When was the last time a player was sent off for foul and abusive language?

Yet you can easily get sent off for 2 relatively minor fouls.

Well players shouldn't get booked for being honest. What sort of example is that setting?

But you're right about referees wanting it to all be about them. They are people that struggle in all other walks of life, but crave attention. The only way they can get it is through the medium of football. They want to shine on the back of the glory of top sportsmen. Premier League football is so high profile and they want to be part of that whole theatre, as if it's all about them. Michael Oliver was notorious for this in his early years. He wanted the attention and he wanted to be noticed, this is why he made all these high profile, controversial decisions. The more he did this, the more the got recognised and rewarded.

If you're a talentless loser in life but crave attention, you only really have one option open to you.....you become a Premier League referee.

At this point I can only assume a referee slept with your wife at some point?

    Foul for diving and stimulation?
Then had to blow his own whistle?

It's nothing new. Remember GT criticising Jeff Winter for calling Sunderland players by their first names? That was over 20 years ago.

I’d have to check with VAR to verify.

I'm pretty certain you'll find that VAR will exonerate the referee.

What do you think Moss said that's so objectionable?

The way I saw it reported, the audio evidence apparently showed Gosling whining about refereeing decisions causing Bournemouth to be in the relegation zone and Moss replying that no, that's on the Bournemouth players. Sounds perfectly fair to me.

I don't go in for the celebrity ref stuff and think Moss is one of the worst in the league. But I don't see anything wrong with him telling Gosling/Bournemouth some home truths if they invite him to. That last bit being the key.

Well it's probably hard being a Watford fan as we don't get many decisions compared to being a Barca fan when they probably get everything in La Liga!

To be fair to Bournemouth, if the refs simply continued to give them penalties for dives and ignored VAR evidence, then they probably would be no where near the relegation zone.

VAR clearly has issues, but the fact that systematic cheats Bournemouth have gone from top half to relegation fodder since its introduction, shows that it clearly is working to some degree.
