I would be sad to see Masina leave. His form is improving and he seems a good egg. I do like the Mad Greek but there's only so much surly disobedience you can take!
I've seen a link with french left back Maxime Poundje from Bordeaux on twitter this morning. Agree with IBB - would be a shame to lose Masina - I think he's improving a lot in recent weeks.
https://twitter.com/DonFcgb/status/1214349745231147009 It's just a mention with other clubs hence I didn't create a new thread for the player. Might just be agent talk as we are clearly in the market for a left back and he seems to be surplus to requirements at Bordeaux.
Seems worth a new thread for him. He was their first choice LB last season and seemed to do alright, but this season they seem to have switched to using wing-backs and so signed another player, Benito, to go LWB.
See my post above. He's unlikely to be spectacular, or even as good as Rodriguez, but he could still be decent
I don’t disagree. But it hardly would be a sign of the marked improvement at the back that we’ve been crying out for either. Would seem like another ‘treading water’ and ‘make-do’ signing on the face of it.
I just don't understand the appeal of the historic, beautiful, cultural and mostly warm throughout the year Istanbul over Watford.
With Masina and Kiko's form at LB of late, this might not be as much of a problem position as we thought...
I agree and have said as much in another post, in fact I think we should look at RB as more of a priority than LB.
What’s more is he chose them over PSV because they will pay him the same as he’s getting at AC Milan - £40k p/w. So he was very affordable for us.
Seemingly back on the market after previous moves have fallen through. Should be back in for him IMO. Especially if the figures quoted on the Fenerbahce deal are accurate.
Joined PSV on loan. This is the type of signing I think we are really sleepwalking past. Available on loan, set piece taker and better than why we have. Yet he goes to a far inferior league to a team massively underachieving within it.
Why sign him when we can just give Holebas a new 10 year deal to see him right through to the day he collects his pension?
