I agree. A player who ruptured his hamstring playing for Venezuela back in June (or July) should be busting a gut and every organ in his body to get game time at his parent club. Get him out of here if he can't face a fight for places. The game's gawn soft.
Due to his ongoing injury problems, Penaranda is now only permitted to play football within a plastic bubble but his bubble burst some time back. Get rid.
Skinny chips and mayonnaise Great range of beers Quality chocolate They're not French Easy to get to by train Think that's it. Ooh - Jean Claude Van Damme Now I'm done.
there is nothing wrong with the french that a good bath some hard work and some strong words to bring them down a peg or two can not fix
Been completely left out of the past three match day squads for a team down the bottom of the Belgian league. Going well then.
Another player destroyed by our development. What a shame. Still, we have Deeney and Gray for the next 5 seasons.
I'm not sure I buy this Jumbo. Old Bertie P has been given numerous chances at numerous clubs and flopped at the lot. Even if his latest staging post is a rancid mess of a club, the ones before weren't. There comes a point where we have to accept the player is a dud.
Perhaps. I don't see why he couldn't have been given some sub appearances in dead rubbers at the end of last season to find out though. He did okay at Woking and also when given a chance v Coventry this season. I think he's completely damaged now. Didn't we pay £10 million for him!??
He’s been mentioned on another thread. I’m assuming, for whatever reasons, he’s not done much to win favour with our coaches. But, we all know one of our major issues is a natural goal scorer. Now I may have imagined it, but I’m sure one of our managers, coaches or players said he was the best finisher at the club. So I’m struggling to see why we wouldn’t have him in the squad, even if to bring on for 20 odd minutes to snatch a goal. He can clearly shoot - are his league cup goal for evidence. Personally, if we don’t sign a proven goal scorer, or if we only get one even, if like to see him in the squad net season. It’s down to the coaches to develop the rest of his game and / or attitude (IF this is a problem)
2 matches ago he came in (off injury again) for 7 minutes. a couple of days about he played 63 minutes. Seems as if he's working back into fitness.
https://www.as-eupen.be/kas-eupen-ohne-adalberto-penaranda-nach-doha/ Looks like Penaranda is coming back.
Great news. **** Success off somewhere remote and have this guy as the backup. He can actually shoot and spends time on his feet.
I didn’t understand the full text but noted the term trainingslager. Frankly, if he can’t kick a ball sober, I’m really not surprised it isn’t working out.
I still believe this guy could come good for us. That goal in the league cup wouldn't have been scored by the majority of our strikers. Certainly an upgrade on the 2 obvious candidates to be replaced (in the sense of shooting that is).
Clearly you’re hard to please. Will it help convince you if you knew that he’d led the line for me on FM19, as Watford became a frequent competitor at Champions League level, enthralling fans with their attacking play. Eventually Penaranda would be sold to Athletico Madrid, for 49 million.
"KAS Eupen has loaned Adalberto Peñaranda for the current season from English first division club Watford" Getting a bit ahead of themselves aren't they - or do they know something that we don't?
His lack of any progress over the last few years really doesn't bode well for his future at the top level. I wouldn't be surprised to see him going to some tinpot South American club by the end of the window. The hype was strong with this one!
All my posts are "without a lot of thought" but why do you say that ? That's all he's shown in 2 years in the UK and based on that one shot vs a 3rd tier side he's capable of a career in the prem ?
Yes but that one shot was the only moment of quality he's shown since we bought him. There's a reason none of our managers wanted him here or played him when he was in the UK....and he failed to get any serious game time on his various loans.
