Er, to make them care? It's not beyond the realms of possibility...

Well Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh are both out of work. Get the band back together and squeeze them into yellow polyester shirts.

I just remembered the time that he told a fan sat behind the dugout to ‘**** off and die’.

    They were simpler, better times.

I’d do as Nige told me. The alternative would be far worse.

Excellent. As a former occupant of a seat immediately behind the dugout through most of my teenage years, I fully endorse any manager who is prepared to give it back to the crowd. Gordon Strachan is another who loved to have a pop back.

We're 2md in the league yet I'm almost jealous of you getting NP lol

Think this could be a really shrewd appointment. If you were to get relegated he'd get you back up imo

Obviously we have a slim chance of survival this season, but he's a man who has kept a team up who were bottom of the league and quite far adrift with only two months of the season to go. He'll get stuck into our players and hopefully we'll see a bit of fight now untill the end of the season. We've been too soft for too long, maybe this is the sort of manager we need.

We'll just have to wait and see I suppose.

I'm not unhappy with it, he did rescue Leicester from a similiar position and look what they did afterwards. I would be delighted if it meant that he was bringing Walsh along with him to replace Giraldi. Let's face it the players need a kick in their backside, we have been far too nice recently and it's not working. If Nigel Pearson can get into the players and spark a reaction then who knows.

If we're looking at managers that like to talk **** then lets go all out. What's Eric Cantona doing these days?

Happy is a bit strong, but I'm OK with it if he brings Shakespeare and Walsh with him. If it's without them, it's going to be ugly.

If anyone genuinely believes Walsh will be coming to replace Giraldi, they need to get their head examined.

Excellent we needed a new centre back, as a free agent can he play straight away or do we need to wait until January to add him to the squad? Nearly the same age as Britos but he OK when called upon last season.

If there is any truth with the Pearson rumours, says a lot the club feel they now need an old school disciplinarian at the helm.

Pozzo's must be in ruins right now, firefighting 2 potentially relegated clubs in one season. All this not good for big poppa Giampaulo's heart I wouldn't expect.

Model is in tatters & needs reform, where do they go from here to help reinforce & help settle the sinking ships?

At least we can all look forward to Xmas.

I'm not a fan of Nigel Pearson at all.

However, with some of the comments from Ben Foster I think he might just have some qualities that are needed.
I'll be happy to have someone in place and we can start to move on.

Happy that Mullins has got an opportunity and I hope that he gets another one in the future.
Also, would really like to see John Eustace brought into the coaching setup in some capacity.

He's the guy that is credited with finding Mahrez.

He's a scouser and Everton hired him in as Director of Football when Moshiri came in.
He's is credited buying a whole load of dross for them.

  27. Not without precedent if you think about it. Beppe was an old school Italian disciplinarian.

With any new manager I will only be happy if they

    1) Demote Femenia to working in the cafe (can’t put him in the B team he would **** that up as well)

    2) Grab Doucs by the plumbs and squeezes until he promises to stop being ****

    3) makes Gerry D get a proper hair cut

    4) Explains to the medical team that this isn’t the NHS they don’t get more money if the treatment rooms are full, we need some players to come back to the first team

    5) Take all of our attacking players and make them stand in the goal mouth for 2 hours a day so they can remember where it’s is on the football pitch

any manager that comes in and does the above gets my vote

It has to be seen in both the context of the season to date, and who else was available. He is British, (apparently an important consideration), prepared to work within our system, knows the domestic game and pressures of managing in the Premier League. I suspect he will be really desperate to succeed and to use us as a stepping stone to re-establishing his managerial credentials in the UK. With no doubt a contracted based on a relatively low salary and enormous bonus for keeping us up, and smaller one if he got us promoted again if we go down. So i can see the pragmatism in it, if not the glamour.

Its only as recently as April this year that we had just beaten Wolves in a classic FA cup semi final and were challenging for 7th spot and European qualification via the league places alone.

Before the year is out we have sacked Gracia, reappointed QSF who was sacked years ago, sacked QSF again and appointed an old school British manager with anger issues in Nigel Pearson.

It sounds fictional but the fact its true is just madness. Clear as day that the Pozzo model has lost its way in a short space of time.

Nothing is beyond a possibility but we've seen it all before. Friendly coach. Players get what they want. Strict coach. Players get what they want. Some of our squad should be embarrassed with their shirking this season.
