And the new Manager will be?

Yes....I believe that's strongly the case. Very often a coach is only as good as the support team around him. This is why they always bring in their own team with them. Good cop, bad cop. He's the bad cop, but you need the balance.

SSN just reported we were interested in Vitor Pereira, who Everton are looking at.

If not Big Sam then looks like we're preparing for relegation.
I'd prefer Gareth Ainsworth in that case.

Leventhal now reporting on The Athletic that Pearson is being considered. Apparently we want the new head coach to take training next week so I'd expect an announcement very shortly.

Plus to be paraded in front of the crowd tomorrow so we can welcome him and also pass on our best wishes for the future, just in case he's not in the job come the next home match.

From the latest Athletic article which places Pearson as favourite...

Of the other contenders who are also familiar with this league, Chris Hughton - who lives in Herts - and Paul Clement are both understood to be awaiting news as to whether initial contact over the role will progress to contractual discussions. Tony Pulis - who has never been relegated in 27 years - also held initial discussions but is enjoying his time out of the game. Other names who could become contenders include Tim Sherwood and Malky Mackay, whilst John Eustace is also held in very high regard.’

HOW ON EARTH HAS IT COME TO THIS? The club is a shambles.

It doesn't FEEL right but a lot of people saying he's adored at Leicester.

Pearson vs Holebas & Capoue is going to be hilarious.

First game will be Liverpool away. After Quique getting City away in his second game to completely destroy confidence and credibility, this is a nice level of consistency.

I think his £575,000 a week contract was a stumbling block

Tim Sherwood and John Eustace. Fabulous. Looks like Giraldi is on the white powdery sauce.

Just so people know, that is total and utter nonsense. Cambiasso sat down with Ulloa and just looked at where we COULD pick up the points, in terms of games. This got twisted into him masterminding it, but a load of idiot fans who never liked Pearson and refused to give him credit for anything despite two title wins.

This is getting beyond a joke. His last two jobs have been a complete and utter disaster. If we want to be laughed at even more get Holloway in.

John Eustace? Do people just just look up ex players still in the game and link them to us. The Athletic seems to have no more of an idea than us lot

It's also anther country and another culture, he's all about team spirit and getting everyone pulling in the right direction. Who knows what impact that has on someone who is all about that.

Derby, the players rebelled against him wanting rid of the idiots and the chairman backed them over the manager.

Who knows, what he did here was a long time ago. But if you got Pearson, Walsh and Shakespeare it could be the best thing you could do, but it's a risk.

It's funny because all the names we would all throw around as a laugh six months ago, Big Sam, Pardew, Pulis are now actually being reported as targets. So Holloway isn't even that far fetched!

What an utter shambles things have become.

No one has done particularly well at Derby. I wouldn’t hold that against him

Get Pearson in now, hopefully he will punch a few of our under-performing players. I am not sure how good he is, but he always came across as someone with fire in his belly. He performed the greatest of all escapes to keep Lesta up. No idea whether he can do it again, but i can’t think of a better option. Maybe Fat Sam, but he will probably want to control inbound transfers, and not sure he will stick around for the Championship

**** it, get him in. I’ve always quite liked him and at least the press conferences will be good.

Interestingly I intend not to go if it's hippo features on the grounds that he's a disgusting human being that we should have nothing to do with.

I'd be happy with Pearson though as others would appear to be too. Anyway, why do you think Gino Pozzo should pay any attention to what we think? I'd suggest that, just like us, he has the welfare of the club at heart too. That's where his profit comes from.

Every contender has had both support and criticism on here. There isn't a 'collective fan view'.

I say don't bother with a new manager. These players don't care anyway so why bring in another to be their sacrificial lamb.
