Watched the first episode of Treadstone. Thought it was quite a good opening episode, would recommend if you like the Bourne films.

Tried the Good Place but after 10 or so episodes it wasn't quite for me, some funny moments though so can see it's appeal.

Will give Watchmen a go tonight, sounds like it could be a good watch.

Always Sunny seems to be getting back on track, last season wasn't particularly good but this season so far has been funny. Dee seems to be turning into Dennis slowly.

The trailer shows that it's not quite as 'gritty' as the original book:

Love, Death and Robots is fantastic (watched about 7 of the episodes).

Each episode is unique and very short which makes it easy to fit an episode in.

Clive, I must be getting mentally feeble in my old age, but I just don’t get that from watching him.

Anyone seen 'living with the British tribe next door'?

Interesting anthropology or patronising white saviour nonsense?

Tell me who I am on Netflix is an interesting and ****ed up story.

It looks, potentially, the worst thing ever on TV. Any redeeming features?

Yes, we thought so. Although the 'lessons' learnt by the English were often trite and facile, they were there just the same and maybe made some of the audience reflect on the value of money and vain possessions as compared to the value of community and family. In particular when the African ladies were distinctly unimpressed with a huge quantity of shoes and clothes for just one person. The English girl was unable to answer as to why she wanted them.

Other bits were toe-curlingly awful, especially the fat English girl crying about her poor 'body image' in comparison to the rake thin Africans.

Not sure if I mentioned it on here before, but Atypical on Netflix is really good. Third season just came out.

The Tick on Amazon Prime is decent light watching.

Conveniently split into 30 min episodes which is all my attention span can muster these days.

FWIW the very watchable 'Britannia' (mainly for Julian Rhind-Tutt's fantastic/bonkers performance) returns tomorrow with Steve Pemberton as a piles ridden Emperor Hadrian...I rest my case.

Binging the box sets. Don't know how I missed it. It's not often that a comedy have me in stitches as I'm generally a miserable ****er but this is very good.

As it was the last Sunday of our extended half-term (littlest one's school have the bright idea to have all the inset days in the week after half term) I decided that we would have a retro old-fashioned Sunday BBC tea-time with an episode of 'War of the Worlds' - which was very good. Eleanor Tomlinson she's very, ahem, 'watchable'.

I respect your opinion on many things comrade and encouraged by your endorsement, I thought I'd give him another chance. I watched as much as I could stand of last week and this week's shows and I'm sorry, but I saw nothing to change my mind.

I repeat, what is the program supposed to be about? Travelogue? Nature show? Simon's wonderful personality? Political critique? In last night's show there was a lengthy section about poor injured manatees which had been run over by speedboat. Simon told us about this whilst riding through the middle of their habitat in a speedboat, with other accompanying craft bearing cameras and lights and sound equipment no doubt. However the problem according to Simon is them others. Now he's off to the manatee sanctuary accompanied by an English-speaking guide (employee?) as Simon has not bothered to learn any if the language of the country in which he's travelling. He approaches the manatee pool, wrapped in his Palestinian scarf as always, and peers in theatrically.

WOW!!! A baby manatee!!!!! Said as though it were the very last thing he ever expected to find at a manatee reserve. And it's inju-u-red. Awwwwww! Simon pouts to the camera and a million housewives at home sigh.

Meanwhile I'm finding out the square root of jack about the former British Honduras which he is supposed to be telling us about.

"Blade Jaggart Heather Swanson". I was laughing so hard "Dice Studs & Board Girls" I thought I was going to choke. This had nothing, whatsoever, to do with the fact I used to run my school's AD&D Club.

Patriot on Prime Video is one the best and most underrated series of the year. Well worth a watch if you enjoy dark humor.

Ha. Haven’t seen this one yet. May watch it one afternoon for a manatee showing.

I thought the ones on the North were very good and the sections on Inuit Women disappearances/genocide important. It’s a mixed bag, I accept it can be lightweight too, but life is sweet and sour.
