Are these comments good for team morale from Kabasele or just telling a few home truths ? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...ls-watford-team-mates-leave-now-dont-believe/
Not that easy when the transfer window doesn't open until January. Unless they just sit at home picking up their wages.
I like Christian Kabasele. I will always remember the first game under Javi Gracia away at Southampton. Fans had been stoking up in the bars for hours before the game and when the result went against us, they took it out on the team and Jose Holebas in particular. Holebas challenged a fan to come and tell him to his face what he thought and things got ugly. Kabs didn't shirk things, came over to help his mate out and at the same time tried to calm matters (unfortunately a lost cause with drunken idiots). I appreciated the way Kabs handled himself that day and ever since he has come across as a guy who plays for the team. In the season ahead where every point matters, I think we will need players like him who are prepared to stand up and be counted.
I'm taking Kaba's advice and getting out as I don't believe this shambles of a squad will turn it round.
Im still suffering from the commentator on NBCSN calling him Kasabele throughout the game on Saturday.
In the short-term we need both belief and effort (lots of it) from everyone concerned with the club. That means the owners, fans, players, coaches, backroom staff, everyone. Success stems from hard work, a can-do attitude and a healthy hurt when not 'winning'. Without all of the three the level of success will be diminished however talented the individual/group may be. We appear to lack the leadership in various sectors of the club who understand just how important getting all these factors right is. Well done Kaba for addressing with the players I say. However it is only a start.
