    'Life coaches' everywhere.

Saw an ad on the underground to become a certified life coach £99 for a weekend course & you even get a certificate included in that.

A woman who works for me is a "qualified" life coach. She is probably the person at work I would be least likely to take advice from.

Always looks like she needs a wash, talks about nothing but herself and is quite possibly on the autistic spectrum.

    In work initiatives

We now have a casual policy re clothing in the workplace .... I still wear shirt and tie
Certain day when dogs allowed to be brought into work
Certain people allocated to go to if have 'personal' issues - nothing would bring me to go to and admit anything

“Life coach” translates to “someone pretending to be a qualified psychologist” in my head.

I'm, a Life Coach Coach. For a fiver I can tell you how to become a life coach. I won't go into details, but mainly it's about attitude change. Becoming an absolute ****ing **** is the first step.

When I start enjoying this place or making a profit from it I'll have some experience to draw up a separate course. Until then it's adequately covered in my "Why the **** do I do this?" diploma. Can I sign you up?

Marginally worse than their previous attempts where anyone cooking was physically assorted and prevented from cooking a meal.
I see you can now get McDonalds delivered to your door. Excellent way to avoid buring off those 17 calories before consuming the 1500 calories and bucket load of saturated fat. New pinnacle of human civilisation.

My Favourite Quarterpounder with cheese has 518 calories in it. A Sainsburys ham & cheese sandwich has 427 calories
A portion of chips (i refuse to clal them fries) has 337 calories a bag of McCoys Crisps has 250 calories

MaccyDs in moderation isn't really a huge issue or much worse than a fairly benign and less slated meal deal from Sainsburys and probably more filling. People just like to bash fast food.

    Now you've made me hungry:mad:

You missed out the strawberry milkshake and apple pie (and I bet those are regular rather than large fries :)).
Anyway, so 518 + 337 + shake (590) + apple pie (230) = 1675. The delicious home made curry Mrs TuT made yesterday had 300, (or 400 allowing for lashings of mango chutney !).

Milkshakes are horrible, Diet coke for the win.
Apple pies should be used solely at the core of nuclear power stations. Nothing that hot should be released to the general public.

I shall put my order for one portion of curry for lunch in now. Ready to pick up ion 10 mins?
Hold the mango chutney. That breaks meisters 2nd law. Fruit is for deserts only.

Blimey, the chips are only mildly warm when you purchase them over the counter, what will they be like once they've spent 30 minutes on the back of a scooter?

My mate uses his heated seats to keep his fish and chips warm on the way home.

If I'm ever a passenger in his car I sit in the back. Vinegar bottom is not pleasant.

    Disagree.
Big Macs are too sloppy and the bread to meat ratio is wrong.
    Big Tasty is too posh.
Quarterpounder with cheese is where the sensible money goes.

McDonalds looks like a positively healthy option compared to the stuff on offer at this crazy American glutton-fest in Texas:

  32. Hmmm. I find a quarter pounder with cheese is just the older uglier brother of the double cheeseburger. If meat and cheese is all you're after then I'd generally always go for 2 double cheeseburgers over a single quarter pounder and cheese.

I find at least a little bit of salad makes me feel marginally better about eating it so a big Mac or big tasty are my go-tos.

I have in the past asked for a big Mac with big tasty sauce. It is very good.

Amazing diy project videos where someone uses 20k of machinery to make something actually pretty useless anyway. Or ruins a lovely piece of wood by turning it into a resin table lamp. Or pencils + resin moulded into a bowl.

Firstly, that's pure whataboutism. Comparing another salty, fatty snack to chips is not the best example. 337 calories is a lot for a snack sized bag of chips.

Secondly, your own choice of comparison still has fewer calories. You selected something which is still 178 fewer calories to illustrate that your Maccy Ds isn't high calories.

Sixth and lastly, not all calories are equal. Calories from saturated fat and empty, processed carbs (I'm sure a McDonald's bun is as processed as bread gets) are not as healthy as wholegrain carbs, protein and healthier fats. There is some protein in a burger, but also a lot of salt.

Overall, yes, OK in moderation, as is cocaine, but still not good food in terms of healthily fuelling your body and nourishing your system.
