All there is to say, really.

This was exactly the sort of performance we should be expecting.

There is hope. It is starting to fade fast, though. How many games can you realistically go without a victory and still survive?

I hate all this 'Overly Negative VS Overly Positive' crap.

But by christ, that's indefensible. You can be the biggest WFC fan in the world and no one will judge you for calling that out for exactly what it was. Absolute bunch of charlatans the lot of them.

And it's not personal - but please please please give Doucoure a month off. That was one of the worst performances I've seen in a yellow shirt and was absolutely coming after recent weeks and his interview where he admitted he'd lost focus. Quina and Chalobah (even half-fit) must be furious that they weren't in the match day squad (Quina) and an unused sub (Chalobah) when he put that 90 mins in.

Sarr - Hmmm. Poor when he came on. But should we be dropping him a week after giving him his first start. I'm not sure what we are trying to do with him. It's been the most poorly handled introduction I've seen from us. Look how bad we were and he got 10 mins...

I just hate watching us at the minute. We are fans. Always will be. But how the club expect us to stay with the team then they are serving this up week by week. No idea.

Wasn’t that bad a performance to be honest. On another day it’s 3-0. Sheff Utd tidy but never looked like actually scoring.

Gray chance looked worse from The Rookery but on replay I don’t think the ball in was that good? Still, should score.

Welbeck should get a bollocking for not scoring. If you’re going to be greedy, score. Could and should have squared that to Gray for an open goal, would have taken the keeper completely out the equation. Worse than the Gray miss for me.

I feel like if we one of those went in, whole mood would’ve been lifted and we would’ve won quite comfortably.

    Kabasele was bloody brilliant. MOTM!

Doucoure was actually beyond awful. That was a 1/10 performance. Would love to see stats on how many times he gave the ball away. Couldn’t believe it. Drop him immediately.

Pereyra becoming very important. Tidy performance.

Dawson should’ve scored the header, great save but anything more than a flick of his head and it goes in, he made weak contact.

If I was QSF I would’ve brought on Chalobah or Hughes when Prodl got injured and went to a back four. We never really gambled but for a defensively minded coach I can see why the clean sheet was important, I’m not mad at that.

Spurs & Bournemouth results will show how important this result is. Draw against Spurs, beat Bournemouth and our season will finally be underway.

    Just 5% more hope today.

How many winnable games are left? Naarch (h) and (a)' Newcastle (h), Villa (h). How many more?

QSF still trying to sort his best set up/team.
Next 2 weeks a bonus as he can work on these. Hopefully injuries mean players stay home Pereyra, Prodl

F**k me, as expected people really are trying to shine that turd of a performance and result.

Watford fans do love a point though. Always take a point, even against average newly promoted sides at home.

Oh shut up will you. It was a clean sheet. Foster didn’t have to make any game saving, saves.

We saw a different formation, different players, no blame with the coach today.

Gray and Welbeck missed. That won’t happen every week. It’s a good result to go into the international break with.

    You’re becoming a troll.

When you're hanging on the end of the rope, you have to cling to the knot that QSF has tied there.

With the strength of support like yours, we can climb the rope instead of just letting go ..

Yes!!! We kept a clean sheet!!! That's alright then. What more could we want?

Great performance, great result, and only eight games without a win this season. COYH!!!

You don't seem to understand you aren't going to see free flowing attacking football under QSF.

It's boring & it's designed to be stable. Hush up, stop your usual moaning & get used to it, at least until we get another manager in before the end of the season.

Also I'm a troll because I'm not content with a horrendous, lifeless draw at home to Sheffield United, in our eighth game in a row that we've failed to, you know, WIN in.

    Lol.

2 points from 12 since he returned, 2 goals scored and 12 conceded, bottom of the league. Stable.

Not that I blame him as much as I do as the spineless cowards on the pitch.

Agree and like your optimism, Gray chance he is just a yard to fast and is leaning back ended up making good contact with it when he’d of been better off scuffing it. Welbeck squares that if he’d of already scored a prem goal for us but he’s desperate to get off the mark so don’t blame him for having a go but he’s got the experience to not hit it straight at keeper.

Doucoure looks tired and sloppy has done all season, was out of position loads today.

I would of liked to see a more attacking change when Prodl went off but like you said think qsf was after that clean sheet.

When your down on your luck at the bottom this is what happens, be thankful they never nicked a win I guess. On a day when things are going your way that’s a 3-0 home win.

Team is lacking real leadership and shows how much Troy brings to the team.

Hard to watch. Clean sheet and Sheff Utd didn’t look like scoring were positives.

We continue to miss sitters. Can’t be bothered to get annoyed anymore but for me that was a must win game.

Doucoure was absolutely dreadful. Kabasele must play every week based on that performance. Peryra good as well. The rest all average or below average.

The way I see it is the goal is 17th and we are 4 points off it with 30 games still to play. And its about getting more points at the end of the season than 3 other teams. Although I am not happy with the season so far I am not in any way going to get overly disgruntled and dismissive of the season with so many games still to play.
In a strange way as mentioned before, i'm finding this league season more interesting than the mid table mediocrity of last season when we weren't quite good enough for Europe or bad enough for relegation.

I think Welbeck will get better with more game time, Deeney will be back at some point (whether that is good or bad time will tell but it gives the manager another option), and we kept a clean sheet today which is a positive.

And for those who say X,Y,Z should play instead of A,B, and C just remember that the manager sees the players in training week in and week out we don't so only they know the shape they are in and the ability they have at the moment.

My biggest concern now that Dawson finally got dropped is Holebas. He is just too old and we will get exposed down that flank many times unless a replacement is found.

I think we may continue to be one of the worst teams in the league and are in a relegation scrap no doubt about it but 17th is still at this stage doable and its quite exciting. :)

More solid at the back, which was a plus point, but against a team that probably came for a point. Lacking a spark up top. I left the game feeling tired.

Wish I stayed home now and watched with the Shout Box. What a absolutely dire game of football that was. I kept looking at the scoreboard to check how much closer we are to the end of the game. Boring and dull that had an end of season feel about it. Also, I haven't seen the stats yet, but I swear Sheff Utd had the ball a crap ton more than we did, I thought we were the home side?

Doucoure' - time to shape up or bugger off. That performance was dog b*****s from you today and hang your head in shame. Kabs was my personal MotM today - didn't do much wrong and I have to admit our defence did stand up and be counted today. When the only positive of sitting in front of a huge man who blocked half my view was the defence, then yeah, that was crap. Dawson did O.K when he came on for Kabs - I was shocked when Prodl was announced to be starting - I mean Prodl?? Has it really gotten that bad already? But, to be fair he put in a shift and did his job - not sure if he should be a perm. starter, but anyone but Kiko so.

I thought the game was pretty even overall - I counted our corner kicks I was that bored --- we had seven. Can anyone else clarify that? Pretty sure that's spot on. Sheff Utd look decent, they had some chances but most of them were easily saved from Foster who must of wet himself when Billy Sharp came on late on... probably hanging up that shirt as we speak actually. Well, no point in avoiding it any longer I suppose....

Andre' Gray… you absolute donkey. I could of scored that chance. Preyera gift wrapped that ball on a plate, covered in icing and topped with a cherry. Yes, it had a slight bounce - but god damn... you HAVE TO SCORE those!!!!! We hardly looked threatening for the rest of the game bar the odd pot shot off target... we actually played like we were defending a lead. We probably would of won that too. Second half was just as bad as the first, they continued to dominate possession and look capable of breaking through - oh yeah, forgot to add I tik Prodl is actually injured? Not sure but he hobbled off a bit - hopefully just a knock.

QSF looked pretty pee'd off a FT... I don't blame him though, some of the fans on the way home were looking very disappointed.

Yes we didn't lose, yes we kept our bed dry for the first time since February, but those are hardly things to cheer about. We are looking so devoid of confidence going forward we actually look scared to have a go at sides - it is something we need to put right, thank god for the International Break. QSF has two weeks to work on things, then we play a Spuds side who bent over for Brighton today. I'm not happy we didn't lose - I'm not happy we kept a clean sheet - I am very upset with the performance in general - if we are going to have any chance of getting out of this - we need to take a chance and go forward and try to score. I could blame Andre' for losing us two points today - but even had he scored, there was more of a chance Sheff Utd would of upped their game. They clearly came for the draw and got that, so well done to them and their fans are alright too.

As for us, it's starting to look bleak all alone at the bottom and now four points adrift of 17th.

Correct, and no managers ever, ever get anything wrong or play favourites with players. Plus, as long as they're OK training, it doesn't really matter if players like Doucoure put in 1/10 performances like he did today in the actual matches.

Andre Gray was offside so it wouldn't have counted even if it had gone in. So it didn't matter. The Welbeck and Dawson chances were the big uns.

We came for at least a point but importantly a clean sheet. Happy to concede possession and rely on breakaways or set pieces. Our 3 gilt edged chances came from this. No bookings as well

    Well reffed -no complaints there.

Not forum related but there were two fellas near me clapping like maniacs at the end. It must have been a good solid two minutes standing ovation. Very intense eyes as if in cult. They were most pleased with the performance.

When we re-appointed QSF there were quite a lot of supporters who voiced the opinion that QSF would play with more expansive tactics and things would be different as we had much better players than we had last time he was here. I maintained that QSF only knows one way to play and today the tactics and performance were a typical QSF performance. Things are not going to change with QSF and his overly cautious tactics.

This is what QSF does and we need our new signings that were meant to improve our attack such as Welbeck or Sarr to start providing winning moments for us otherwise I will start to worry at how we are going to get enough wins to stay in this league.
