There are as many stories of Gino looking to sell as there are about Watford looking to exhume George Best’s body and play him on the wing today to replace the injured Pereyra.

If you’re worried about Watford this season, fine. But base it on things that you haven’t made up.

Reading some of the comments - I would say that I think one of our issues is the timing of when we sign players .... Welbeck and Sarr arrived 48 hrs before the season started .... we have strengthened on paper but neither are up to speed or had time to be integrated properly .... Rose and the German left back we’re all last minute bids by the looks of it .... I think we need to buy earlier and get new signings gs ready for the start of the season .... not 4-5 matches in.
Why on earth Deeney is only just having an op now is beyond me as it sounds like it was an issue we had known about for ages.

I know we have spent money and it sounds ungrateful, but we needed more players in and earlier - that feels like our biggest failure to me

 

Really any manager would struggle with our old, slow, creaking defence.

Javi has not been helping himself with his team selections and subs though.

 

Time for Javi to go.

We looked doomed before the season started and unfortunately we are playing like a side that knew this.
Time is up for him. We are poor, very limited in ability and have zero confidence.
3 games and 3 defeats which includes 2 heavy home defeats.
I like Javi, but we will not return to the Premier League for a long while if we are relegated.

 

I’m not sure what any manager can do really. We looked good going forward today. The fact is that inept recruitment strategy over multiple windows has left us with an old, incompetent, slow defence with several on long contracts. As a collective they are prone to disastrous lapses in concentration at least twice a game. Perhaps Gracia is partly for blame for being such a yes man, but if we fire Gracia it is just covering up Pozzo/Giraldi failures.

 

As I posted on the other thread, QSF got as tune out of a lower quality defence than this one.

Graica is too stubborn and it has to be his formation no matter what, rather than a formation that uses what he has available.

It's all very well people say we have 3x games left but I shudder at the prospect of playing Man City, Liverpool, Spurs et al. Garcia's record against these teams is not great.

We need a change of direction I'm afraid before it's too late.

 

6 weeks on, thought this was worth another bump after Foster being dreadful when coming off his line, yet again.

He's not learning. He has become much more of a liability than an asset.

 

Nope, I think by now it's safe to say that Foster is to blame. He's a calamity.

 

Nope....I think it's fair to say without him, we'd be losing 8-0 to everyone every week.
