Giraldi and the recruitment team should be out by tomorrow morning

Spent the last week of the window chasing a perma crock striker and a bambi on ice winger instead of improving the defence

The club is in absolute disarray. Even the happiest of happy clapper cannot deny it at this point.

Pozzo and Duxburry openly say they have final say on transfers.

    This is on their watch.

GET OUT POZZO. GET OUT NOW.

This is a ridiculous overreaction. They need to sort out a big mess, which is of their own making, but they have been perfect owners.

If we somehow win the next two games, then everything will look much better.

Can you believe it.....but we are still only 2 points down on corresponding fixtures from last season.

Don't forget the centre back who was probably the only one in the top 2 divisions worse than what we already had.

I can absolutely believe it. Plus the fact we’re a win away from getting out of the relegation zone. I’ve tried to explain to people on here before how consistently bad you have to be to be relegated from this league. I had lots of pushback but even now we’re probably only running about par with standard relegation form.

Gino has generally learnt from mistakes made, but none have ever resulted in relegation. Not making the essential improvements over the summer may well and truly come and bite him in the arse. In our 2nd Pozzo season we had a stinker by not replacing Vydra and bringing in random foreigners and journeymen. Gino learnt from this and the next season we got promoted with some really smart recruitment both player and manager. I see massive change being made if we survive this season but in our current state we have no chance and 5 years of good work and financial benefits from the PL will have gone to ****

Disagree that Pozzo learns from mistakes. He’s arrogant and has not invested in the defence for 5 windows. We’ve been rancid there for seasons yet he never learns. Now it will finally cost him millions.

I'm all for giving it both barrels to the sack of sh*t carefree players today, but absolutely NOT to the owner or CEO! Both have been incredible for our football club and have, in a very short length of time, given us a ground to be proud of, players beyond our wildest dreams (Deulofeu, Doucoure, Pereya, Abdi etc), our fifth season in a row in the top flight and a very strong infrastructure.

They're the best thing to happen to our club since Elton John and GT!

The recruitment team have a lot to answer for and if, as speculated on here, Pozzo signs off and has the final say on players then Giraldi and his team should've walked years ago!! I can't believe for one second that Girladi doesn't play a big part in who we bring in. Who we have bought in to improve our defence isn't good enough.

It'll be a very dark day in our clubs history when Pozzo and Duxbury leave the club. Let's hope it DOESN'T happen for many many years!!

Our overpaid poncey players are the ones who deserve the abuse!

Nope but it's a reason to be slightly measured in response to our overall position. Today was woeful. Record breaking awful. But in the scheme of things there's a heap of chances to turn it around coming up.

Neglecting our defence all these years is now finally coming back to bite us.

Pozzo's have ****ed it up big time by not improving it significantly over the Summer and are relying on Quique to get them out of trouble. A right back, a centre back and left back in Jan please.

To be as fair as it's possible to be, Hegazi is who the majority of West Brom fans said they thought we should have been buying at the time we brought Dawson in. Not that I'd be enthused by him as a now-extremely vital piece of recruitment myself either.

If the Pozzos ever leave this club we will probably disappear without trace. Be careful what you wish for and all that.

Exactly. We were very close to administration when they took over, and the Premier League was a million miles away. They have done an unbelievable job. We should remind ourselves that we are punching above ourselves being in the Prem. A par performance is about fifteenth in the Championship

Before anyone suggests the Pozzos should go could they please suggest provide a viable replacement.
The Pozzos may not be perfect but they are the next best thing this club have ever seen.
I am as angry as anyone over the result today but try to keep it in perspective. We have to learn and move on from here. If the lesson is to improve the defence then we have more than two months to get through before that.

I don't ever remember a Watford team capitulating so abjectly. Since we've had such a low turnover of players it may be that our two previous 6-0 defeats weigh on their minds and we're beaten before we start. City are superb, but other teams don't get slaughtered by them on a regular basis.

As for Giraldi, it looks bad and maybe he should be out the door. On the other hand, it may be that better defenders were approached but refused to come because they saw how the Cup Final went and had no confidence in our ability to stay up.

And Florrie. Janmaat was MoM against Cov and significantly better than Kiko when he came on against Arsenal. Why didn't he start, or come on instead of Grey? It was damage limitation after 6 minutes and while putting Pereyra on may have helped us and it was worth seeing what Saar could do, there was nothing to learn about Grey.

When we beat Sunderland 8-0 in 1982-3, they finished 16th, three points above the team in 20th (there were 22 in the top division in those days and three went down). Just sayin'.

The club is far from being in disarray. It’s a horrible day to be a fan, there is no doubt about that, but the club is on pretty secure footings. We obviously shouldn’t lose to anybody 8-0 but this was a team that will have wanted to make up for last week and when in the mood, like today they are exceptional. The opening post is trolling but there are clearly some who incredibly think Gino should go
