Powerful stuff. Spoiler: Please note that this PSA contains graphic content related to school shootings that may be upsetting to some viewers. If you feel that this subject matter may be too difficult for you, you may choose not to watch this video.
Wow. Seems kind of inappropriate to "like" the post, but that is powerful. The last scene pretty much finished me off. Mind you, I would also say that school shootings are preventable if every tom, **** and harry doesn't have access to guns.
What a load of fuss about nothing. The good guy with a gun will be along any second now, so stop your whining. Honestly, kids today (tsk).
True true. I'd forgotten how well that idea of Trump's had gone so far. Apologies - I am an over sensitive idiot. As you were, US schools.
You can't have the debate with Americans. They believe that they need to have weapons in order to be free. The deaths of children are a price they are willing to pay. They will come up with all other manner of arguments about having more trained good guys with guns, or having restrictions on video games, but ultimately, America has looked at the deaths of their children and decided that they are, on balance, fine with that, as long as they can continue to carry firearms with few limitations.
Had a look on twitter as I read that "SandyHookPromise" was trending after this ad. I know I shouldn't expect any more from twitter - or a certain type of American - but I still find myself shocked by the fact that this was a seemingly serious response by someone (a male adult, although I use the word adult sparingly): "Allow staff members with CCW to be armed? Have armed security on the premise? Remove signs that say "gun-free zone"? Nah! Let's scare the **** out of people with some stupid fearmongering ad. #SandyHookPromise"
It's also worth nothing that the current interpretation of second amendment rights is a very modern one. The conservative bias on the US Supreme Court has tipped things that way in the last couple of decades. If Trump somehow wins re-election or if Ginsberg/Breyer drop dead before the next president comes in, that will pretty much be that for our lifetimes as far as the US gun issue goes. Public opinion does seem to be slowly moving, however. The problem is that without overcoming the legal blocks, public opinion means little.
Besides which, we know definitively that Sandy Hook never happened. Alex Jones proved this beyond any doubt and she's really good on the One Show and has got quite big tats too.
I’ve long held the belief that if Sandy Hook wasn’t enough to get pro-gun Americans on board with gun reform, nothing will.
Have to agree. Had this same conversation with a guy from Detroit. He couldn't or wouldn't answer my questions. One was an amnesty on guns in the USA. Giving Australia as an example. And why anyone would need a semi automatic weapon. All he kept saying that they're free and quoting the second amendment. He just got up and walked off in the end.
I hope the documentaries are about why people come up with nonsensical conspiracy theories. There is nothing good about a conspiracy theory centred around Sandy Hook - particularly considering the extra pain such crackpot claims have caused the bereaved parents.
While I can't speak for every conspiracy theory source, that's easy to answer in the case of the Sandy Hook conspiracy theory. Alex Jones makes money off it. He's a disgusting human being in every respect.
