Here is the preview! Not sure if it can be moved to the top of the post?

Well, one things for sure, no one here (or anywhere) predicted Sanchez Flores would be back in the hot seat for this game. The big question is can we get our hands on three very valuable points? I’m going to run through the various factors that will influence our chances of achieving this feat.

    A new manager bounce?
Some think it definitely happens, some would say not.

Thankfully for Watford even the article linked above that dismisses the new manager bounce says the upturn would have happened anyway, it is largely luck. This is great news as it means the following outcomes are possible:
    1. We get a new manager bounce. 3 points thank you very much.
    2. We don’t get a new manager bounce, but get the rub of the green we would have got anyway with Gracia. 3 points again!
    3. We don’t get a new manager bounce, and don’t get a change in fortune. 0 points.
This means we have a 66% chance of winning the game. With bookies currently pricing us as a 5/2, you’d be a fool not to put large wedge of cash on a home win.

    Likely result? Watford Win

    The Quique Sánchez Flores bounce?
Sánchez Flores averaged an impressive 1.184 points per game for us, Javi Gracia just a measly 1.179 points per game. Sit back and enjoy the gravy train of extra points flowing in over the rest of the season. 3 points should be easily banked.

    Likely result? Watford Win

    Our form against Arsenal
Our form against Arsenal hasn’t been completely disastrous over the last 4 seasons (not including 19/20). Out of the 12 other teams that have been ever present over the last 4 seasons, they sit in 7th place for points gained. Out of the top six teams we’ve done best against them, also including the FA Cup win of course. If (a big if) we manage to win on Saturday this will be 9 points from 9 games which would be a good return.

    Likely result? A Draw

Can we keep a clean sheet?
We’ve yet to keep a clean sheet against Arsenal over the last four years. We’ve not kept a clean sheet in 16 Prem games in a row. Arsenal have scored in their last 12 games.

No we won’t keep a clean sheet.

    Likely result? Arsenal Win

    Can we score a goal?
We’ve manged to score a rather humble 3 goals in our last 6 games. However, that has included playing the mighty defences of Brighton, Newcastle and West Ham (twice) – so that should be taken into account.

But... Arsenal have only kept 2 clean sheets in their last 15 games.

We might score a goal, if we get lucky.

    Likely result? A draw

    What does this all mean?
The above scientific analysis points to 2 Watford wins, 2 draws, and 1 Arsenal win. I'm pretty confident that we will therefore get something from this game. It is all stacked in our favour.

But what do we need from the game?
1 point in 4 from without playing one of the big guns is not a great return. But we are still just 3 points 12th place. A win would pull us right back into the pack. A draw would keep things ticking over, and would be a good start for Sanchez Flores. But even a defeat, this early in the season, would not be a complete disaster. There will be much more important games than this coming up, such as our next home game against Sheffield United.

And what do we want from the game?

I will be satisfied if the following things to occur:
    • 3 points
    • Deeney to be put on the bench and then get sent to the stands without even playing after elbowing an Arsenal player whilst showing them his huge cajones.
    • A goal apiece from both Sarr and Welbeck
    • A clean sheet
    • Dawson to play like Beckenbauer

Can you start a thread about referees? I find it so hard to follow who is who and so a list of all active Prem refs, with a summary, an epithet and a rating (HB1 corruption matrix) would be handy.

  8. Quiche is going to bedazzle and bejazzle from the technical area with a yellow jump suit and Elton John platforms whilst the might Mooses set up in a 42314334432 formation and smash the harsenall 4-0.

A brilliant swashbuckling display from the Horns that has Arsenhowl on the ropes from the off. Sadly two defensive lapses seal the game 0-2 to the visitors.

Do @rsenal like playing against defensive teams? That could be key. I think I am more interested and excited to see the formation and line up than the match!
Of course I want us to win, but it's a tough ask. Play like we did last season against them and we have every chance of getting something. Even a point would
be ok - extend our unbeaten run to three games in all competition.

I would like to see Quina start... not too sure if Prodl will get a look in? Csnnot see Holebas starting unless they have resolved their spat from QSF's previous
tenure. Soak it up for the first 10 or 15 then try and hit them on the break. I really think we will get our first clean sheet too on Sunday. Then we can go to
Citee and QSF can swap cardigan's and scarfs with the second most smartly dressed man in the prem.

I'm going to say 1-0 Watford. I would love to be correct.

Flores will get the team to tighten up at the back (whilst his gormless admirers in the stands do the opposite) but we'll show absolutely nothing going forward.

Goals change games, and we've had opportunities to change the course of most of the defeats on our bad run. Our misfiring attack has at least as much to answer for as our defence, and now I'm struggling to see where our next points are going to come from with Flores at the helm. I don't see us getting those chances with the way he's going to set us up, and I don't see us keeping clean sheets against top six sides.

We need a lot of chances to register goals, and Flores will not even take a glance at that side of the game in training.

At least Christmas seems a long way away now. It's going to be a long season.

Better to get 38 0-0 draws than 10 wins and the rest heavy loses. Get a progressive manager in in the close season and try to progress again. This season is now about survival. Drawing and boredom gives us a good chance at that.

It would be a much longer season not winning ever

In reality we will lose most of not all top 6 matches. We may catch a break and win a few. Draw the rest and we are safe. Best we can hope for given the start we’ve had. 4 games in we only have 34 left

We line up 10-0-0 and frustrate Arsenal for the entire first half. On 37 minutes, Gray crosses the halfway line in violation of the gameplan and develops a nasty gushing nosebleed, causing the ref to halt play and wave the medical team on.

On 57 minutes, Arsenal score, and then score again on 66 minutes. Realising the game is not unfolding the way he wants, Quique Sanchez Pulis withdraws Gray and Pereyra and brings on Prodl and Mariappa.

The game finishes 2-0 to Arsenal. QSF deems the match "amazing" in his post match interview. On the bright side, the Watford fans get to sing the QSF song again.

    Somewhere, Pudil gets booked.

The thought of Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe running at our defense should banish any notions of us potentially picking up points in this game.

We’ll be soundly beaten, and their pacy trio up top will completely wreck us.

Only if Javi was in charge with our high line and FB’s further up the pitch than a pervs hand up a skirt.

With QSF we will sit deep, have 2 DM’s and make arsenal go wide. Cut the space out in behind and make them hoof it. Fast players are only useful if there is enough space for them to run into, QSF will set us up to make sure they don’t.

Pepe was recalled early from international break for fitness reasons and the little cheating turd Torriera has picked up a knock. So they both might be out.

Fair comments, but it’s not as if the guys I mentioned are purely speed merchants. They’re incredibly fast, but also highly intelligent. Their movement alone, even in restricted space will be far too much for our hideous defense. We’ll be frequently bamboozled.

I’m supremely confident they’ll still manage to get in-behind us and wreck havoc.

Foster will give away at least one penalty when he comes charging out to try and collect a cute through-ball.

I gather there is some sort of secret report or document relating to this next stage in our history - Operation Yellowhammer - leaks reveal something about players out of position, all 10 outfield players lined up as centre backs for corners, beer shortages as everyone dashes for a much needed half time pint at 10 minutes into the game, panic due to earth tremors as everyone stands up to evacuate the ground simultaneously as Arsenal's 4th goal is scored on the 75th minute, absolute pandemonium when Quique's wig blows off in a gust of wind and Holebas kicks it up and out into Occupation Road ... I have no idea, but I'm going to celebrate mightily the next time I see Watford win a league game ...
