Regretfully, this is the right decision. Javi deserves thanks and respect for a mostly successful season last year but like so many at this level (I'm talking available money here!) has been found wanting when things are not going well. That's life as a non-top premiership team for you.

But QSF?! Didn't see that coming!

Mixed feelings but SD has ways been clear and football is a results business. No real room for sentiment rightly or wrongly and the league form suggested he couldn't turn it around

Pleased with QSF. Though he did really well with a not very squad in year one. It won’t be sexy but he will get us organised, as frankly we have been all over the place this season

It’s a shame as Gracia was fantastic for us for the most part but, the wheels had well and truly fallen off - I think it’s the right decision.

Can’t see QSF returning, I seem to recall the board weren’t impressed by his lack of discipline.

Big pressure on this appointment no time for a sananio

...... now QSF confirmed .... what do I know

When England took the lead against Bulgaria, Gracia was Watford's boss. Before England made it 2-0 QSF was Watford's boss. You couldn't make this stuff up.

At least Roy Moore won't need a new flag.

Scratch that. Youngsters and wingers will now be completely ignored. Love him, but QSF is NOT the man for this squad.

I loathe Florrie, though not as much as Wally.

4-6-0 coming up against Arsenal & City then.

Rather get relegated than watch some of the football we had at the end of 15/16.

    FUMING right now.

Stale, boring and predictable the first time round who loved midfielders on the wings more than Javi...What's the difference here.

No point us signing Sarr then was there. Delefeou won't play much either.

Midfield of Cleverley, Doucs, Capoue and Hughes.

    Going to be grim.

You can’t blame the owners who have millions invested. QSF knows his way around the Premier League and will get us more organised. I can’t remember us getting smashed when he was manager. He really is the Pozzo version of big Sam.

He will play two up front and he has plenty of options. He will play the best team, but no doubt will be quite rigid

Sacking a progressive manager for a manager who introduced the hoofing culture at Watford. Well done Gino and Duxbury.

Whilst I take issue with the 'progressive' thing about Gracia, considering all we've done this season is hoof, if I recall, we didn't have much ball playing quality back then.

Whilst I'm not saying QSF won't go back to it, I'm interested to see what he does with this squad, which is world's apart from that one.

Winning the ball high up the pitch and playing some great football last season pre Semi Final? I'd say there was some progressive football there. The problem is the back line have reverted to type and just leather the ball rather than trying to play out. Cathcart looks a shadow of himself since Shane Long charged him down.

I will support QSF as he is the manager but I'm not holding out hope.

When you have 1 point in 4 games against the easier sides in the league something needed to happen. Pozzos were never going to appointment a manager that plays 2 upfront with attacking wingers. Sometimes you have to go backwards, before you go forward. I think players like Pereyra won’t feature, but that is probably not a bad thing
