The bench is potentially better than the staring line up ! Docoure fit . Gray and Cleverley in . Sarr , Chalobah , Quina , Welbeck on bench .
Gray as a lone striker, Cleverley playing, Hughes still on the wing and Femenia still at right back. 1-4 West Ham, again.
Nath. I’ve defended you’re negativity this week... But with Pereyra out and Welbeck and Sarr not ready to start, I’m not really sure what you expect. The performance was better last week. The formation appears to have changed and Doucoure is fit. Let’s see how it goes before turning the negativity meter up to 11 eh??
Would still rather have Hughes behind Gray but I agree the shape is better if that’s what we go with.
Its just so predictable. Cleverly and Gray were nailed on too start while GD is played were he isn't as effective. Given the injuries and fitness issues it would have been a great time to try something different from the system that hasn't been working, unfortunately we dont seem to the imagination for that. I see both ropey full backs keep their places
I expect absolutely woeful, horrendously underperforming Femenia to be dropped for a start. Also would much, much rather see Quina given a chance over Cleverley.
Well at least its not 4 2 2 ******** 2. Lets see how we do today. I'm expecting to see Sarr at least. Glad Doucs is alright. Preyera won't be missed. Glad its Gray and not Success.
You’re a very strange forum member. Zero contribution except ones that criticise my mild grammar mistakes. Mistakes which you won’t be surprised to hear I could not give a **** about. People know what I meant so politely **** off.
I'm not sure the idea of playing Delia as a lone striker is a better idea. Its either this or keep 2 up top and full-backs exposed.
It is different though and I doubt anyone on here predicted this line up. There's no "big man" up top, and there's another central midfielder in there. You might not like it, but it's definitely not the same system we've been playing.
Prediction: 0-2 at half time. Javi rings the changes, Welbeck and Sarr dazzle and the 'orns fight back to a valiant 2-2 draw. BUT NO! Kabasele (subbed on for the injured Cathcart, 87mins) gives away a penalty at the death. Foster stands tall... And saves! BUT NO! It's a VAR call. He was off his line! Retake, and scored. Holebas punches the ref. Gerard injured in the ensuing melee. Tough afternoon for the hornets.
Twitter may say 4-2-3-1 but the admins aren’t privy to Javi’s plans. I suspect it will still be 4-4-2 with Cleverley left and Deulofeu up front.
That lineup is horrendous. How is Quina not starting over Clevs? How is Gray starting over Welbz? Shocking.
