Take it as a compliment. When someone retorts with an insult it means they don’t have an argument and you’ve won the debate. This is why I’ve won every debate I’ve ever had on this forum.
Today I heard Boycott say that he wouldn't get into his own all-time England team. HB1 doesn't have the sainted Geoffrey's modesty
There may well be some of that, I think. Also, of course, the most accomplished players tend not only to be very good at playing, but also very good at cheating. They fool the refs more often.
All you have to do is look at the table at the end of year it’s littered with big name clubs , can’t be a coincidence, ok it may not be a very scientific analysis but good enough for me
Better he is silenced than actually saying what the rich and famous actually did. They are all ducking g guilty and disgusting at that
3-1 Horns Perfect hatrick for Maureen from the canteen. Left ***, right *** and and a header . 40 yd own goal for them . Probably Holebas but maybe Cathcart. Deeney gets carried off with a hernia , scores a deflected header from his pitchside stretcher because despite being off the pitch , the ball hadnt fully crossed the line when it hit him and should legally still count , but Lee Mason disallows it because he s a ****.
Actuall She is a 22 year old transsexual who models her look on fifties dinner lady ‘chic’, a look which briefly ran wild through the LBGT clubs of Brooklyn last Autumn but has now sadly fallen foul to the New Wave Modern movement of 80s lesbian Chinese table tennis coaches , that is sweeping the Lower East Side . Gotta keep up with the times RD.
So, the day of the big match... Who will win? Will it be the 'Deeney is useless, why didn't Javi have the nuts to drop him' Anti-flag waving environmentalists? Or Will it be Troys 'an underappreciated legend, who deserves his media career' happy clappers, who will be proved right against the naysayers? Tune in at 5pm to find out...
Can't go to this one as taking the 13 year old and friends to their first festival. Suspect, therefore, that we will win and, as a result, I will declare myself a bad omen and feel the need to ban myself from attending for the rest of the season. I'll try not to carp on about it if this happens.
Incorrect. VAR will be a leveller and is already showing itself to be so. However, if the process errs too much on the side of backing the refs' original decisions then it can't be a complete leveller because the refs will continue to favour the big clubs in their decision making for reasons that we've all discussed many times. The more VAR moves towards challenging original decisions and away from 'clear and obvious' stuff, the more of a leveller it will become.
NO Troy , No Doucs , No Bobby P , Sarr and Welbeck not yet where Javi wants them , I predict more misery for the Vicarage road faithful Hammers to win 0-4. Worse ,me to spend Saturday afternoon out shopping with the wife.
More nervous to be honest. If it’s Cleverly in for Doucs and Success in for Deeney in a 4-2-2 then I will cry.
4222 Success and Okaka up-top, as none of them have worked with Delia before. Cleverly replacing Doucs. Zeegelaar in at left back. Mapps and big Seb in to shore up the defence. Winner winner chicken dinner.
Of course! I.m.h.o.! But you surely see the logic. Any process that increases objectivity and accuracy away fom the heat of the moment must necessarily be a leveller if the playing field wasn't level beforehand. Those are the main purposes of VAR. I don't see how that can be argued against. By all means argue that it isn't completely level yet, that, if used differently it could become even more level and even that there might be an upper limit on how level it can become. Those are different matters. Personally, I'd be quite happy for VAR to make the decision rather than advising the ref. and erring on his side. In all of cricket, tennis and both codes of rugby that's what happens. Video evidence and other bits of kit are used to make decisions and then the ref./umpire is instructed what to do, albeit with 'umpire's call' in cricket. So, if VAR is able to give more accurate decisions, simply use it to make the decisions then! As it already does for offside. I'm rather hoping to get some more evidence for this argument in about 5.5 hours time.
Of course I see the logic in your opinion. I see logic in my opinion on it as well. And evidence could be put forward to support both!
Funny thing about that is you’ve ironically listed the worst possible replacements for players - but the CB’s you’ve listed really are no worse than the First choices.
