    Watford finishing the window with a ‘flourish’ apparently!

    That ‘flourish’ amounts to us being no further forward in the details of a deal than we were a month ago and holding onto our midfielder who wasn’t even linked strongly with a move until 2 days ago.

    That would be ‘peak’ Watford. Describing the window as a success because we turned down a measly bid. Crack out the bunting and fine cutlery...

    Bet the deal falls through after Gino refuses to ‘Go Dutch’ and offers just €3.27 towards a €300 bill.

    ...or misunderstands what ‘Go Dutch’ means and refuses to throw Zeegelaar into the deal.

    Weird. I read that as ‘Rennes President has Gino Pozzo over a barrel after Watford owners opening bid of €15m is nearly doubled before being accepted.’

    Absolute shambles of a transfer.

    Nailed on for someone else to SWOOP in for him before pen is put to paper.

    Watford are shambolic when it comes to signing off and completing transfers - they may say they make quick decisions but it takes an age to get them completed.

    This whole transfer window is either a success or failure based on this it appears. If this goes through and we keep our key players then I think a good window - if not a disaster.

    Seems strange thing to say as never seen the guy play and know nothing about him. Hopefully good and gets players like Gerry and Peryra a kick up backside so become more consistent.

    My Leicestershire-based sources have told me that Mr. Sarr is currently at Northampton services and is mulling over whether to head north or south. I have received some reports that he had a pasty for his lunch, although there is a strong rumour that he bought a tray of sushi from M&S.
