I’m shocked that no-one from our negative fanbase has yet responded this, especially with this tweet being 20mins old.

Edit: Our fanbase is becoming as lazy as the club.

Yep, it's about as slow and boring a side as you could hope to see at Premier League level.

I don't care about the game itself, it's completely meaningless, but to be putting that side out a week from the season starting is hilarious.

It feels a lot like last pre-season again, when people were touting the likes of Fulham as having comfortably the better squad, and bemoaning the weakness of our team.

Granted, without Geri and Pereyra, we lack creativity, but we know for all their limitations, Gray and Deeney can get goals. The spine of the team is strong with Capoue and Doucoure at the heart of things.

We’ll be comfortably safe again. If, as we hope, and as rumors suggest, we’re able to add another winger or two, and perhaps another attacker, we’ll be in really good shape.

I mean, **** me, the club just had to send a begging letter to season ticket holders to ask them to actually attend. Beyond tinpot.

The majority of our fans are hobbyists and support other teams. They couldn't care less.

We are an injury away from having the same appalling centre back choices we had last season (that injury of course being to our now new best centre back, who we signed on the back of a poor season in the division below) with Mariappa being another year older and still League One standard.

We are an injury away from having no one even close to the standard of Deulofeu to fill in and offer what he offers.

We are starting the game before the season starts, historically the game you play your best XI, with Hughes and Sema on the wings. Lol. One is a decent CM being horribly shoe horned into a wide position, and the other is one of our most laughable ever bargain bin signings.

The best we can hope for from bench is Cleverley and Success, and we are so A. tight and B. desperate that we've somehow allowed Okaka to step foot back into the club. God help us.

We have zero depth yet again, and even if we do have another miracle start, we will no doubt absolutely collapse once more, just potentially sooner and more drastically than usual.

So all in all I'm feeling good about this coming season.
