Anyone here got one? I’ve been hooked (pun intended) since getting a 20 gallon about a year back before upgrading to a 250L (mix of imperial/metric intended) I want to get some betta fish for my old tank to start a new ecosystem without co2 or fertilizer. Been scouring YouTube for some ideas and I thought it might be niche enough to warrant a thread here!
Hope others join in - I used to have a 75cm cubed aquarium. Had some marvellous fish - big (not really big) sharks and loads more. Moved house and had to sell it but fun while it lasted
I seem now to have morphed to garden ponds and one of those is in crisis at the moment - attempting to restore balance
Yes. We have a 100x50x40cm tank, 175 litres I think. Tropical fish. 2 bristle nosed catfish (bred, had to take >100 to pet shop), a golden nugget, 15 red and black platys, 15 tummy nosed tetras and a few sailfin mollies. Nothing too challenging !
Had a goldfish in a bowl won at Pinner fair. Bubbles The neighbour won one also an donated it. Cuddles. Bubbles died and was replaced by Nibbles the next year. Nibbles lasted a couple of years and after it died, it was replaced by Dribbles. Cuddles and Dribbles lasted together for 3 or 4 years. Dribbles died and Cuddles lived for another couple. I recon Cuddles reached 8 or 9 years old. Can't win goldfish at the fair any more. Have to put up with an inflatable hammer or some other tat.
We used to have one. Had a variety of species. Until the mollies took over and were the only ones left.
Has anyone watched the discovery series Tanked? It's about a company that make bespoke acrylic aquariums for companies and celebs. For those with a piscine fetish it's a decent watch.
