Belgium are yet to confirm their squad. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-c...-angrily-denies-world-cup-squad-accidentally/
Has anyone noted any mattresses heading into/out of London Colney this week? Is that Vydra’s mattress in the background?
Confirmed now that he is not in the squad and it seems isn't even first choice back up for CB. Also confirmation that the mattress thing was nonsense Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk
Have some been selected who weren't given one? Guess somebody has come in for Kompany ? Kabasele himself had been injured long term ofcourse which won't have helped his cause.
Ikea use stupid names, like Billy, for their self assembly furniture. Maybe the Belgian DFS has ripped off their idea for their new summer range of bedding. The saucy Kompany, the strictly for the brave of heart & stout of limb Double Hazard & the banned in most markets Dendoncker.
Suggest the resurrection of No Limits by Belgium producers 2-Unlimited. Ka, ba, Ka, ba, Ka, ba, Ka, ba, Ka, ba, Ka, ba, Kabasele
Decent article in the Mail (shock) with Kabasele, well worth a read: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ords-perfect-start-Premier-League-season.html
Kabbs is brilliant. Great lad but grown up. You’d fight in the trench next to him. We seem to have an intelligent lot at the moment.
I'm surprised at talk about changing eating habits. Even now with professional nutritionists and the science behind eating the right food at the right time, football still seems to be behind the curve when it comes to this.
I'm not sure if it's football in general or just Watford. I get the impression the influential players in our squad, including el capitan, have been calling the shots ever since the promotion season was on the verge of imploding early doors. The players spoke openly of how they decided to kick on regardless of who was head coach that week and, with Joka leaving and the succession of changes since, I've always said I think they never really lost their power. It wouldn't surprise me if it extended to things like what was served at the training ground to eat and I can't see QSF, Mazz or Silva ever being strong enough to convince Duxbury or whoever to back them over Troy and pals. It looks like Javi is the first to be backed.
I noticed Kabasele has been called up to the Belgium squad.. From his point of view hopefully the manager won't notice today!

Fenerbah*e have been offered the chance to sign Christian Kabasele. http://sportwitness.co.uk/club-given-chance-sign-watford-player-via-agents/
Would be happy to see the back of him. Terribly inconsistent. He does show flashes of a decent player, but it's not often enough. Cathcart and another. Not AM. Loves the club, shows great commitment but is not good enough. Happily have him as a squad player.
Lots appear to be going out the door, so it does seem that way, but central defence does need a major revamp. If Kabs goes then we certainly will bring in at least two central defenders in this window. We've already let Britos and Hoban go, Prodl is almost certainly going to join them and don't forget Kaboul left last season without being replaced. If Kabs and Prodl go, we'll have only Mapps and Cathcart remaining. Personally I think we need 5 central defenders for an entire season. So that would mean two new additions, like Dawson and Todibo with maybe Wilmot as the fifth CB?
Have I got this right, didn't Chalobah start out as a CB at Chelsea? If he did maybe he is another possible CB for us?
Yes but last played as a 16/17 year old, years ago and of course he is still not properly fit. I really don't think he's the answer at CB next season.
I guess if Javi does't rate him then Kabasele will go - to hopefully raise funds for a new defender or two!
There seem to be plenty of attainable CBs out there which would likely be upgrades on any of our CBs, including Cathcart, so if by letting go of Kabs we can bring in at least two new additions in that position then I'd be all for it.
People seem to think Brighton will go down under Potter but I actually think he's a massive improvement over Hughton and will surprise a lot of people. Especially if they give him a bit of money to spend like they did Hughton.
