So nakamura with the rumble win, the crowd certainly got what they wanted. For a minute it looked like they were going to give it to Reigns, and everyone was so desperate for him not to win. Biggest surprise of the night was Rey Mysterio popping up at number 27. When his music hit I didn't quite mark out like I did when the Hardy's returned last year, but I certainly pumped my fists in the air. Tell you what he looked better than he has done in years. Very fit and able to do his high flying moves easily.

Nakamura has already called out Styles for the title at Wrestlemania, what if styles losses it at Elimination Chamber though?

Lesnar retains too, although I expect we will still see him vs strowman at mania.

With regards to the womens match, some nice touches there. Ronda Rousey finally makes it to the WWE. Expert her to become the new beth phoenix.

Thought the Rumble was awful and I think that's now me officially done with WWE. No interest in anyone or anything going on so I think I'll be skipping 'Mania for the first time ever.

The lack of intensity, unpredictability and genuine excitement to the product these days is just painful to sit through. It's been on the dwindle for 11-12 years but it's becoming unbearable now.

    Mens Rumble
Hurricane was surprising as he's recently been in TNA/GFW/Impact whatever they're called this week as a manager but a good entry. Rey not so much. It's interesting how the crowd forgets that he received boos a couple of years ago when he took Daniel Bryan's spot, but gets a cheer last night. Think it's just a cameo though, he's been heavily linked with the other promotion, but agreed he looks better than he has in years. On balance the right person won. Someone who hasn't had a shot yet.
Adam Cole can feck right off. Just don't see anything in him. Why he has got the push and attention so quickly when there's other better performers in NXT that deserved the shot. Just pandering to the indy darlings I suppose. Expected to see Lars Sullivan who looks a legitimate beast. Two minds about Sanity, They need to be debuted as a group but they've been ready for a while.
I particularly like what they did to Tye Dillinger. This needs to be a running annual joke. Him always getting the 10 spot and then never making it to the ring. Also Heath Slater vs Shamus was brilliant.

Womens Rumble Glad they put it on last as I was looking forward to it and after 4 hours I needed it.
If anything there were too many returning "legends" in the women's match that took too much of the spotlight. Lita (my favourite) was a given, although her moonsault is looking pretty dangerously low these days. Molly Holly was a big surprise, but everyone else they had already wheeled out for RAW 25. Again on balance the right person won I feel. Disappointed there wasn't a few more from NXT but I think most of the decent talent has been brought up already. The two they did give shots to are the most polished in the division.
    Bella twins can **** off.

I thought both title matches were pretty poor. Especially the Monster vs Beast vs Machine. It was just a spotfest which ended far to quickly for my liking. It's time Strowman is crowned, but I'm glad it was Kane that took the pin. Styles vs Owen & Zayn it'll be interesting to see where that goes. The fact that the wrong person took the pin.

Tag matches were a bit meh.

It's a shame that with all this women's revolution clap trap that there was no space for a womens singles match.

Lets see who gets called up this week, there's normally a couple. My guess is Sanity will debut.

Haven't watched WWF WWE for a while now - but I was tempted to walk into work on Monday doing the Vince McMahon walk in the presence of a large number of Spurs fans;)

I was bored a few weeks ago and watched a few episodes of Raw from 2000, leading up to Wrestlemania, at the height of The Rock and my own wrestling fever. Magical times.

Also extremely depressing considering the thoroughly pathetic state that WWE is in now.

Watch NXT and soon NXT UK as well as the Mae young classic.
Stuff Vince has no hand in is decent.

The lastest NXT takover was the best WWE I'd seen in awhile. All hail thomas ciampa

Roman Reigns has has to vacate the Universal Championship due to a diagnosis of leukaemia; he’d been in remission since 2008 it it’s returned.

Like him or loathe him, sometimes life is really unfair. Hope he beats it again and is back on our screens again soon.

Saw the other day. Dreadful news for him, hope he recovers. I certainly don’t have any issues with him as a character but feel he was pushed as the next poster boy in a way that felt far too inorganic.

NXT is decent enough, but the "main" WWE product is dead. It's been on the slide for 15 years and it continues to sink to new depths. I literally cannot watch it any more, it's horrendous.

AEW is looking very promising as a potential genuine, mainstream rival.

I thought it got a bit better recently. TNA (or whatever they're called this week) on the other hand is well and truly done. WWE need to pick up Rosemary but everyone else is hopeless.

I agree AEW is looking good, I hope it will Cause WWE to make some changes. They pushed Kofi Kingston last RAW before the Chamber... so that's something I guess

Less than two weeks until Double or Nothing, very excited about AEW now for a number of reasons. Going to be great to have a big time alternative again because WWE has become completely unwatchable at this point.

Will be interesting to see if Ambrose or Punk do show up. I expect Punk will sign in the end, even if not quite yet, which would be massive.

AEW announced a huge deal with TNT (love that wrestling is back on WCW Nitro's old network) in the US yesterday.

Finally WWE has a genuine rival again.

Think we are still far away from that but it will likely get there.

Saw WWE Live yesterday, I enjoyed it tbf - Lacey Evans, Drew Mcintrye and Baron Corbin really stood out for me, just got to translate that a little bit more for TV.

I'm expecting MITB to be a bit of a marker/response to the AEW announcement so hopefully its a great show, although I don't watch WWE regularly anymore, just the decent ppv's.

Corbyn is a lot better than he's given credit for. Ok in the ring and good on the mic. Don't get the hate for him.

Lacey is an interesting one. An Ex-marine and built like a brick outhouse, just look at her shoulders. I don't like the character one bit and it doesn't really fit with her NXT work, but she seems to be getting it over well. The WWE have a history of rewarding wrestlers who put up with their crap personas so maybe she is one for the long term however age is not on her side.

Drew MacIntyre really benefited from his time away. Bulked up and improved on the mic.

For me, Pete Dunne can't do any more in NXT UK. he was champ for nearly 2 years. I really hope he gets a call up next week.

Leave WWE behind, the main roster product is beyond pathetic anyway. Vince is off his head.

I'm absolutely buzzing for AEW Double or Nothing on Saturday night. Feels like a new era for wrestling after 18 years of WWE slowly going down the pan since they ruined wrestling by buying and shutting down WCW.

Cody and Tony Khan have been saying and doing all the right things - I highly recommend everyone watch the ITV documentary (was on ITV 4 tonight and will be on ITV tomorrow) as well as the Road to Double or Nothing YouTube series. They're promising a big budget, high production value, more realistic, edgy, adult orientated product where wins and losses really matter and the fans are truly put first and listened to.

£14.95 on ITV box office for anyone that's interested. Pre-show is free on ITV 4 at 12am.

I too am quite keen to see what AEW can offer, however I am perhaps not quite so down on WWE as you are Nath. It has unfortunately become a very PG product, which is fine, but I have to say the Womens Division in the last couple of years has come a long way. They also have some decent wrestlers on the book at the moment, and although the booking of some of them is very questionable I think the actual wrestling content in a lot of the matches is of a high quality.

Jericho has always been my favourite, so I will definitely be tuning into AEW.
