I'd say Mick Quinn is bigger.

Yes, but in a sense Quinn never played for us.

Success looks like he’s carrying a few extra kilos. I’d have him down as our biggest player.

  9. Man I feel so sorry for him. I hope we appeal, if nothing more than to give him a little hope.

Looked soft in the game, looked even softer on MOTD.

Contact minimal, Antonio had lost control of the ball, and Foster had gathered. Christ, if that's a red card then most games in the division should finish eight-a-side.

At least it gave Lineker a reason to mention Watford.

Apparently Rostron is out for the final.

And Luther has been sold to Milan.

Sherwood is being recalled to play at least.

    Déja vu all over again.

Actually, we’re playing a blue shirted team from Lancashire with foreign strikers.

Might be able to keep this to 2.

I thought one of our players got suspended earlier in the season in the league but was allowed to play in the FA cup. Didnt think cards in the league carried on to the cup anymore.

It's the other way around. If a player gets sent off in a domestic Cup tie, they serve the suspension in that competition. Get sent off in the League, it counts in whatever the next game(s) is (or are, depending on how many games the offence warrants).

It would be a one-game suspension for that yesterday, let's hope (against hope knowing the F.A.) an appeal works.

Just watched the sending off again after finding out Holebas is suspended. He puts his hand on his shoulder but doesn't pull him back so surely in a contact sport that cannot be a foul otherwise we would still be playing the game now due to all the stoppages. It is pathetic from Antonio

He also completely miscontrolled the ball and took it away from goal.

When do clubs usually find out if an appeal has been successful?

  21. R4E

I'm not sure, but even if un-successful is there not a way to appeal or take it to the arbitration panel in order that the suspension might be delayed until the after the cup final? I'm sure Palace did something similar with Zaha this season.

Holebas picked up his 10th booking in the league game before the QPR cup match. Yellow cards only count in the competition they are received in, so he was able to play the cup match but was then banned for the following two league games.

Crazy that the FA can’t fast track this and get they appeal dealt with today.

Gracia will be working on tactics and shape etc for the biggest game the club has had in years. It would be beneficial for him to know what players are available to do that.

I have always wondered, can a club submit a report to the FA, saying why it should not be a Red Card eg minimal contact, going away from goal ? and does somebody attend from the club. Or do we just put appeal in, end of story.

I would guess the F.A. will probably only the referee's report later today.

Will no doubt be concocted to read as if it was some vicious scything two footed challenge rather than a mere tap on the shoulder.

They will, as usual, rubber stamp the belief that a player has a right to go down if another player breaths on him.

Any common sense person would see it for exactly what it was, a cynical dive to gain an advantage in what was largely a meaningless final game of the season.

You can’t take the cheating out of some players no matter what and don’t think for one minute the impending VAR will change this sort of decision in any way.

Absolutely right, but the players will continue to do it until the officials referee games properly and sensibly.

    Just checked.

Holebas came 2nd of all Prem players for yellows.

13 plus the red, so only just behind his glorious 16 of a couple years ago.

    He was second to Capoue.

    15 plus a red.
