My guess is that Wolverhampton Wanderers have too many syllables to crack the Asian market.

I like Wolves and how they play, they've been outstanding this season so good luck to them in Europe if they get it. Most of their fans are fine, yes they have some nobs but did you see some of our finest at Wembley?

Could have TAA still been sent off for the goal line handball or as the ref played on and Newcastle scored mean what he did irrelevant ?

I think next season the VAR would give the red card, irrespective of the goal being scored, because one of the things in its remit is any red card offence. For instance if there was a bad foul but the ref played on and a goal resulted they would still go back and send the player off.

But surely there’s a difference? I presume you can’t be said to have denied a clear goalscoring opportunity if a goal immediately ensues. Whereas serious foul play is serious foul play whatever happens next.

The BBC seem to think it should have been just a booking for unsporting behaviour since the goal was scored. However the difference for Liverpool is huge: a goal conceded instead of a goal very probably conceded from a penalty and playing the rest of the game a man short. That doesn’t seem right or fair.

Absurd Sky having the spitting thug Carragher as co-commentator for Liverpool games. This isn’t FanZone ffs.

The horror spits at children. How is he in the job.

    He played at left back.

Isn’t it weird how Scouse FC have colonised tv?

Carra, Murphy &, these days, Souness aspire to mediocrity.

Limited interest & less knowledge about teams outside Liverpool/top 6 at a pinch.

No real tactical understanding of football.

On the pitch they were obviously shouters rather than thinkers.

No different to Smith commentating on Arsenal games.

Can’t say I’ve noticed him which says more about his ability to be impartial. Plus as a bonus he doesn’t spit through people’s car windows on camera.

Actually you shouldn’t really spit through people’s car windows whether you’re on camera or not.

Can’t wait for Gary Neville to goad him when they inevitably come up short in the title chase. He put on a good face last night but you could tell he’d have been laughing his arse off had Liverpool not won. Why are all Liverpool ex-players such *****? The aforementioned Smith is relatively inoffensive and even Ian Wright is tolerable and open to a laugh compared to the scouse lot.

You can sense the anger in almost everything Carragher says.

A lot of them come across as wanting everyone else to appreciate how amazing they are and marvel at their (mostly distant) achievements. They’re so intensely proud of the club and the city that I don’t think they get that most people either dislike Liverpool or just don’t give a ****.

I think it was the force of it as much as anything. It was sort of a cross between a push and a full on punch. Had it just been hands on, then a push I suspect a yellow would have been given.

Man U look so ropey at the back - even Huddersfield have caused them so many problems .

Says it all when Chelsea might end up 3rd after the season they've had!

Arsenal probably got an eye on Thursday.

There are literally only 2 top quality teams in the EPL this year. Makes it more annoying that we've done so badly against the other 4!

If they had any guts they would hold their hand up and admit their mistake and sack the out of depth Solskjaer. They won’t so it’s going to be a car crash next season. Should be a good watch after the he burns 200 million in the summer and is still hopeless.

Not a cigarette paper between the teams tonight.

    Guardiola’s edginess infecting his side.

Silva, B is biting his shirt after every failed attack.

Silva D should have been redded twice.

If he’s their enforcer, we’re fine.

    Citeh are bricking themselves!

I know it’s a big if, but if you can get at their defence they look far from convincing. Quite a lot of their midfield don’t seem too bothered about tracking back as if they don’t really need to bother.

Unfortunately I don’t see us defending as well as Leicester did tonight and heaven forbid we try to pass it out as much as they did, we’ll be 3-0 down before Deeney has a touch of the ball.

The title is not all over yet. If Brighton can play on similar spoiling match against City, as in the FA Cup semi final, and keep it down to just one goal, then there could be some fun and games in the final minute.

Michael Oliver is the referee. You just know he'll be itching to give a last minute penalty to the side who need a goal.
