But the reciprocal bad vibes of the consequent fixtures balances it all out.

Or driving down to Swansea to discover the game being called off less than 1 hour before KO....

I wonder how many brownie points I'd get for being at the

    Manchester City v Watford FA Cup 4th Round 2nd Replay 1985/86, 6th Feb 1986.

There weren't many Horns there, about 120 I think. We outsung the Kippax though :)

Yes! I was there. A Man City friend and I went. In the days before climate change kicked in we had proper winters. The M1/M6 was snow covered all the way up but City had the rarity of undersoil heating so the game was on. On arrival at the turnstile there was a very cold looking policeman who asked if I had any alcohol on me. I apologised that I hadn't so he shrugged and let me in.
We smashed them of course, then it was the epic journey home again arriving in the small hours.

What about points for doing a poo whilst on the shout box? Got to count for something.

There is a bit of a going to every game mafia developing.
How about those of us who went to a lot of games for years but due to family and living far away now cant go as often. What gives someone who has been to all the games this season more of a right to a ticket.
You can adjust balance to some extent but it needs to try to cater for all.
Some of us have done time in the lower leagues for years. Some of us have had to pay witness to Devon White's attempt at football etc etc

Points for buying merchandise is ridiculous

I confess to skipping a few pages but I understood people were struggling for tickets? I find it quite surprising that I can be third in line for an huge game like this. 100% agree about the pricing, shelling out thousands to follow the team and getting stuck with a £145 ticket would be a sickener.

I’d be surprised if we shift the new batch of tickets given to us at the prices they’re set at. I’d hope we at least sell the new bottom tier seats from a visual point of view

No, I think the only struggle was to get the very cheapest ones. There's still £70 and above ones left now, with a couple more thousand to come.

I must admit I am also surprised that Cat C got tickets so effortlessly. I guess it's just a combination of the ticket prices, the FA Cup losing it's allure, the inevitability of our defeat and the fact we barely have 30,000 fans, including the most part of part-timers!

The extra tickets have already been uploaded to the site, so there's no more to come. Earlier this morning there were only around 30 left on sale outside of the Club Wembley middle tier super-rip off seats.

Fair dos. I am curious to see how many of cat D will try for a ticket. 40,000 in that group isnt there?

I can trump that with a trip to Cardiff all the way from Cornwall on a boxing day (I think) a torrential down pour just before kick off then after about 45 mins the game being abandoned without a ball being kicked :(

Not the part I used to live in, it was a good 3 hour journey from there to Cardiff.

Yes but Cardiff (it was an away game) is practically on the doorstep. The fact that VoR says it was only 3 hrs, knowing Cornish roads, means it must be about 27 miles.

A couple of hundred I'd guess. They've opened another block.

300 super rip off seats, 400 mega bucks double rip off seats and 150 diamond encrusted club wembley seats which are the price of my first car.

So have we now got the same allocation as we did for the semi?

If so, the question is will the day trippers part with double the price to attend!? (I hope they do)

I think the FA have made a strange decision allocating bottom tier, Camara view seats much later. The last thing you think they’d want is empty seats there

Presumably it's from their neutral allocation and the great and the good of the game just aren't taking up their options? In which case, they'd be empty anyway.

I’m not sure because the block of seats is barely touched. I’d agree if it were random seats but this looks like two complete blocks they’ve given us

We have a few (very few) in block 501. This is past the half way line.

Guess they have not sold as many as us?

The segregation is not 50/50 (half and half) as you’d expect. They have slightly more in our half in the bottom tier (opposite the tunnel) and we have slightly more on their half in the top tier (501). Dunno why though

Agree with this. I try to get to a couple of home games each season and the odd away game. I go with friends who are also Cat B / C and have started to take one of my daughters too. The biggest issue for me, as you say, is getting seats together. Stadium expansion would make it easier for more families to attend occasionally.

Dissapointed, but not suprised i suppose tht we cant move seats now. Am in upper tier and would have loved lower, lose out by buying when first available to me. Lets hope they all sell still, shame to have less enthusiastic fans potentially filling alot of the best seats, but thats life i guess.

Nice to see the RMT have announced a tube strike for the cup final. Overground also have a 24 hour strike on 16th but at least that should be back to normal by then.

RMT Secretary General Mick Cash is a Watford fan and doesn't want to miss the game.

    Oh well.
A friend and I walked from Wembley back to Watford in '84 because of the queues at the tube.
We may have to do both there and back this time!
    Cheese and pickle anyone?

Bet we won't sell out the most expensive as fans of other teams just want a cheap day out.

    Tinpot.
