Anyone know if it's possible to walk all the way round from block 140 to a standing section? Not a fan of being told to sit down if I can see a loads of people in other areas standing up and creating an atmosphere - last time I was in 140 it was good but it's now a "Family" section which doesn't sound too exciting.
If I’ve understood your point here it is incorrect. Home season ticket holders, like me, do not have priority for buying away tickets. That is down to how many away games you’ve been to over the past few seasons and that’s how it should be. Supporters backed this in a club survey. The club are trying to react to fans’ concerns, the latest being what they are proposing for ST ‘no-shows’. Unfortunately it won’t kick in for another year yet.
I have kept my season ticket since the Aidy days, even though I prefer to attend the Shout box. Its paid off now though as I got all my tickets on the first day of sale with no bother. I like to think that I'm giving extra room to whomever sits adjacent to my 5 empty seats at the back of the family stand.
Well, i prob should have checked first as i’m wrong. Woops. Cat A is st and 15 away since 2014. Pipe down stevie palmer.
Not sure that quite tells the full story. Person X has a season ticket and 15 away games. They're in Cat A. Person Y has no season ticket and 25 away games. They're in Cat B. There's no other way to describe that than priority being given to the season ticket holder. I appreciate it was backed in the survey - although that was a while ago I think and didn't give specific options to choose between - but it doesn't take too much of a leap to imagine the majority of the respondents were season ticket holders.
To be honest, I'm all for refusing ticket sales to all but season ticket holders. If you're not an ST holder then you're not a real fan. End of.
Personally I think anyone who went to Burnley away on a Sunday at 1pm when even the bl**dy trains couldn't get you there on time deserve to be the ONLY people allowed to buy Cup Final tickets and to choose who else goes.
I wondered at first if the club had published the wrong category plan because it was exactly the same as the one for the semi. But it's also the same as the one City put out for the final .. https://mediacdn.mancity.com/-/media/news-pics/2019/april/fa-cup-final-pricing-2019.ashx?la=en There's definitely mistakes on our ticketing page. PS Please can people stop saying we cant sell our ticket.. there's less than 100 left apparently and i'd call that a sell out. If we dont sell the extra tickets then fine but as it's stands today we have sold our tickets.
I think you should of been at shrewsbury 3rd round and Scarbourgh 3rd round away to get first dibs. If you weren’t born then, then tough titties Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There should be a points based system. Something like 10 points for attending each home match, and between 20-50 points for attending an away match, based on inconvenience. Eligibility for tickets would be entirely based on the number of points amassed. No priority for simply having a season ticket - you need to actually attend the games. Letting the club know about ST non attendance with 3+ days warning gets you some points (5-10), whether the ticket is sold or not. Merchandise spend could also add a small number of points (I.e. up to 10 for £50+ per season) You then require a minimum number of points each season to be eligible for the early bird discount. At the moment, the club needs to have sold a certain amount of seats before they allow you to get a resale rebate, as they don’t want to lose money on ticket sales. It doesn’t work. The points rebate system would replace this. The seats would be instantly available online. It would be cheaper for the club as they don’t have to offer additional money off STs. People could offer their prime seats for re-sale even if there are loads of bad seats available. Fair weather fans would be more likely to attend. And away fans who travel around the country but can not commit to a season ticket would not be disadvantaged over someone who barely attends home games.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I thought I had my cup final tickets, well today they finally arrived In fact in the end thanks to you guys out there and other friends I could have had 6 tickets instead of the 2 I needed. So thank you all again for all your help.
Remember it being windy. And when leaving the ground some Watford lads smashing windows and getting chased by the coppers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not sure I understand your point on the resale rebate? There isn’t a rebate on resale of season ticket seats. The money goes to a hospice I thought?
I agree with a points-based system, but there are other factors that could be brought in, eg: - Inconvenience points for home fans who have travel a long way to get to home matches. - More points for those who endure a crap performance by the team and 'fewerer' for a good performance, or a point deduction for each minute someone leaves before the end of a match. - More points if you have to sit next/near to a total numpty (subjective of course, with each fan determining what 'numptiness' means to them and this is checked by an independent panel). - More points if you are inconvenienced by eg. a tall bloke sitting / standing in front of you, or a fat fan who is half-sitting on your seat. I'm sure technology can be invented to verify all of this.
Obviously most of the points you make are tongue in cheek, but your first one should actually be given some consideration IMO.
I fall into that category, but I personally think main priority should go to anyone traveling miles around the country to the arse end of nowhere to all away games. Those few that did all 19 away games last season deserved their free shirts and some!
I was able to get a ticket and while I'm obvious pleased I am somewhat surprised I was able to qualify for category C with my only game this year Southampton away. As I'm Devon based this is my "regular" game, I get to about one a year and have only made it to the Vic twice since promotion. I'm excited to be going but I do feel bad for those who probably sink more money into the club and couldn't get a ticket
How many points does the 3-0 loss to Yeovil get you? Does the Leicester Play Off Semi Final and the Wolves FA Cup Semi Final nullify the Yeovil match?
We would have apart from the extra 2700 seats made available . Goes to show we struggled with 33000 for the semi but should be able to do about 30000 for the final another group gains access tomorrow as well .
Yep we will sell out, but I just couldnt understand who the fans that sink more money into the club than that chap, but who havent got a ticket are? The only people who havent got a ticket now are those who've been to 1 game in a decade (or whatever it is). So he's got nothing to feel bad about. Unless he's referring to those priced out by the obscene prices. In which case it's a fair point.
What about travelling down to Yeovil, staying over the night before and then turning up to a postponed match? That's got to be about 3 gazillion points.
