Very sage prediction, 2 - 0 up at this very moment. Very big game incoming on Saturday.

    Scary.

To say they will have a few reasons to be up for Saturday is an understatement. If we play like last night, we will get a good beating.

Fully expecting 3 or 4-0 Wolves.

To be honest until the Foster brain storm and Deeney sending off I expected us to beat up Arsenal. That was 3 points thrown away that I think will cost us 7th. Mind you in the bright side cup final and 7th this year would leave us nothing to improve on domestically. This still could still be our best season in a generation or two.

  7. I think I'm more nervous about Saturday than I was about the semi final.

Ive just put it into the supercomputer and the average points gained from here for watford is 3.6. Supercomputer also said what a good season Wolves are having, aren't they great?

Arsenal have no testis. Would never wish to rely on them for any sort of result.

Yep, we threw 3 points away v Arsenal and 2 away last night with that atrocious start.

We should be 5 points better off than we are.

Apart from beating us, which was inevitable.

In terms of qualifying for Europe then the league is still a better chance, so I can (sort of) understand that.

This makes Saturday a must win game, no?

At least after Saturday we can get back to normality. It was a nice run that we are unlikely to see again.

Nope. Nice though it would be to play in Europe, we have never won a major trophy and we have the chance to change that (albeit not a very good chance).

For all we know we could get knocked out in the first round by Akrotiri Athletic.

And even if we did win on Saturday we still need a combination of further results in our favour.

Of course, winning a trophy is far more important. Qualifying for Europe (via the league) is far more likely than beating Citeh at Wembley though, even after tonight.

    All IMO of course.

  17. Saturday is a must win, but based on the last 3 games I just don't see it happening. We will screw ourselves doing something stupid.

It's made the task simple at least. No ideas of a draw. Win the game or 7th is gone.

    More likely, yes.

But not a reason to be more nervous about Saturday than the semi precisely because the trophy is more important.

    IMO.

Subject to how Wolves finish tonight, it is likely to be them on GD from us unless we beat them on Saturday.

Edit: you mean we won't win didn't you!!!

But we would still need to win our remaining fixtures or if we don’t, for others to do worse than us in them. It’s not a one off like the semi.

If Saturday was the final match of the season I would have more sympathy for your view.

  29. I assumed by "a combination of further results" you meant by other teams remaining games.

You just meant win our final 2 then!

Nope, that’s why I said “further” and not “other teams’”.

Anyway, as GD says, it’s all moot because we won’t win on Saturday.

Summer 13 was the most desperate/exciting I can recall.

Scanning the background of all my friends’ holiday snaps just in case.
