so it is one ticket per fan ID??

i have four fan ID's 3 @ Group A (Season ticket holder with 15 away games) and 1 @ Group D are they advising i can only get 3 on the first wave and have to wait until the 6th May to buy one more??

Yep. Because why should someone who went once in 5 years get a ticket over someone who goes a couple of times a season?

    2 x 22k = 44k which is the semi final group c.

wife is not a season ticket holder but has been to quite a few away games this and last season - just think it crazy - appreciate there is a huge reduction on tickets from the semi final but you could purchase 2 per fan ID and how many of the tickets were purchased for friends/family who had not been to games before, would of though seaon ticket holders with a certain amount of away games should get first refusal on buying more than 1 per fan ID.

maybe they should of implemented the A+++, A++ scheme like they did for previous rounds/games

hey ho rules are rules and I be grabbing mine on the 16th

You sure shes not been more than once in 4 or 5 years?

  6. jimbo77

    jimbo77 Academy Graduate

yes 100% been to more than 1 game in the last 4/5years - games below are one's I can think off on the top of my head and all this year.

    Man City - Away
    Leicester - Away
    Arsenal - Away
    Wolves - Away
    Southampton - Away

None at home? The away category is a bit odd that you need more games to get in anything but the lowest group. Whereas 2 home games in 5 years moves her into the first cat c group which i reckon will be ok - so long as youre online in the morning of sales. But you wont get seats together...

Over the moon that the club have restricted it to 1 per fan ID.

What are the chances of group C getting a ticket I wonder? A few part timers have crawled out the woodwork.

I just cant decide what seats to go for. My gut feeling is the £70er but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity probably so should we splash out....what to do!

The confusing part is the 2nd group total is smaller than the 1st group, so looks like it’s not cumulative. But the group C and D look cumulative?

So are there 22,000 in A and B combined. Leaving (if everyone buys one) 6,000 for group C to fight over, and there are 22,000 of those. So surely no way it’s getting to group D?

I don’t think it means you have to have just home games, just that it has to be an assigned ticket. All my away tickets have been assigned to the IDs, so I’m assuming that shunts me up to the third group as Away D and over 2 tickets assigned. Regardless of whether home or away.

    Or am I misreading it?

Pretty high for group C I think (and I hope so as that is the section my whole family is in!).

Let’s assume 75% of A & B book tickets, that leaves 11.5k for Group C. So 50% of the allocation. As long as people are on the dot buying they should be okay.

Not sure if it will squeeze to group D, maybe a handful of tickets.

Glad to see a bit of back-handed recognition on that press release that the Ticketmaster scenario last time wasn’t sufficient and steps have been taken to rectify it - I remain dubious of them still being involved for the main bulk of sales however.

Waiving the booking fee is a welcome addition to proceedings.

Yeah that makes sense, cheers. The odds arent good enough to risk waiting for them though I suppose.

If you look at the semi final arrangements there were lots of tickets available when cat c opened. People on holiday, with prior commitments and baulking at the price will leave lots available again for sure for most of the first cat c group.

Suprising theres so many who have just been once in the last 5 years.

Quite a damning indictment of the WFC matchday experience isnt it!

Or Arsenal/West Ham/Spurs/Chelsea getting tickets becauae its cheaper. I suspect theres many day trippers who just wanted one ticket for a premier league game and wanted to say theyve seen a premier league game in person. 21k of them are moog i believe.

How many years count towards the ticket buying data ? My little bro has 2 ticket purchases but one was 6 years ago so does that still count to get him into Cat C ?

The thing to take into account is the S/F windows for each group were much shorter than what is being proposed for the final.

I’d say there will be just as many people on holiday or with prior commitments in May as there will in April. It’s not school holidays and is sufficiently clear of Easter etc.

I think the ticket buying windows being for much bigger periods of time for each group means it will be increasingly slim-pickings once you get through the first couple of bands.

Looks as fair as it can be without creating a scheme only someone with an supercomputer could work out. Hopefully they'll realise soon enough that the categories are not really fit for purpose and need changing. They're a bit top blunt and there's always a couple of games a year they have to do something else for.

Worth noting that we may get more than 28k. They mention tickets in tier 2 (Club Wembley) may be released at some time.
Wolves got some of them issued to them after they had sold out their full allocation but I don't know how much they cost them.

I think they were £100 so likely be closer to £200 for final

Hopefully there won't be the same chaos getting tickets in the first sale as fewer tickets will be bought this time.

Is there a way to check which group we are in? I think I would be Group C, but I'm not 100% certain, as I have brought tickets for many cup games and friendlies and I don't know if they count.

Am I also reading right that it's 1 ticket per Fan ID, and you can't buy for a friend? i.e. A Category A ticket holder can't purchase a ticket for a Category D friend when tickets are on sale for Category A?

Read the club statement. They are updating the eticket website soon to confirm.

It should be ok to buy for linked id's who are in an eligible catgory but not those who are not in an eligible category.

Does anyone know if when inside Wembley if you can physically move from the higher tier to the low tier.

My mate can only get a higher tier ticket but wants to come and budge next to us where everybody was standing.
