When I wore my first Watford shirt on a caravaning holiday in the West Country, some local herbert mistook it for Wolverhampton Wanderers, despite my mother having very neatly stitched on the Harry the Hornet.

Best to avoid a similar upset today.

If Jackipanbasher made more of it like most do, walker would of gone. Still should have without any play acting walker was aggressive and if that was me or you doing the same thing in a pub to another we would get thrown out at the very least.

So....chances a cat C ‘day tripper’ like me getting a final ticket!?

Depends if they do the ST holders +1 thing again I'd say.

Allocation will be a bit lower than the semi final (28-29,000 rather than 33,500) but considerably higher prices might put tickets beyond the reach of some.

With over 6 weeks to go hopefully the club will plan a slightly more leisurely ticket-buying regime this time.

 

This will be the important thing.

 

By NOT employing Ticketsheister, hopefully.

Just back from Hols, & watched the game V Wolves, Have to say hats off to Watford and hope you can surprise Citeh despite the hatred spouting towards Palace on here ! Anyway If we can beat them so can you, Especially if you can perform like you did in the Semi, We know how tough it is but it's possible and I will have a cheeky £10 on Watford 2-1

Yeah, they did it for the semi-final but it's pretty unusual.

 

Whereas I thought Ruddy should've saved our winner and probably the penalty too.

 

Geri's second, sure, but that pen stayed hit, don't think many keepers would have got a strong enough hand on that in time, Ruddy barely even touched it!

 

No difficult saves to make, a bit of over-acting with the routine saves he did need to make but no errors. A more mobile keeper could possibly have intercepted the cross for the first (see how close to the goal line) and made himself a bigger target for the second but tough to blame him for either.

 

Would work better if the +1 HAD to be assigned to another Fan ID in the ST Holder's "network"....the Ticketshambles site did not allow you to do that for the semi.

 

Season ticket plus 1 as long as they have a fan id is fine hopefully. I’m Cat A but my son who I desperately want to take is Cat C and I’m nervous about waiting until he can get a ticket

Presumably you mean you're a Cat A for away games and your son is Cat C for home games?

Trouble is if they allow every ST holder to buy a +1 again that's basically the whole allocation gone. I know not every ST holder would take up the extra ticket but I bet a big majority would. Take up is going to be higher for the final than it was for the semi on a smaller allocation.

 

They did the ST holder+1 because of time. After the semi-final draw it took two days to find out when, which half and how many tickets would be available. From the date of the tickets going on sale there were just 17 days to the match.

We are 5½ weeks away from the final, there is tons of time to do the planning. We don't yet know which end we will get but I suspect due to logistics it would be the West side again. I reckon ticket sales will be announced by the Southampton game and start soon after.

I thought Ruddy did well to get out of the way of it.

 

We have 13,500 Season Ticket Holders and 7,500 non-season ST holders who regularly buy tickets for home games (Home Cat A & B).

That only leaves 7,000 tickets for the remaining 44,000 fans (Home Cat C) with a purchase history of at least one game since 2014 (assuming we can an allocation of 28,000).

It's bound to be 1 per eligible ID, otherwise hardly anyone in Home Cat A and B will get a look in. Then a ballot of some sort for the Cat C tickets?

 

This will leave me in a quandary. Do I get my ticket at the same time as all other season ticket holders and not get my son one or wait for cat c and risk not getting one.

Cat 3 or 4 for me this time.....cannot afford to get Cat 2 for the 3 of us as well as paying out for Season Tickets......
hope they have a better ticketing system this time round as dont want to be sitting around again...
