Hi Diamond, can I ask if you have had any thoughts on the following week? Because 4 teams will be in the FA Cup I wondered if it will be just less games to choose from or if you would try and get our mid-week games in to make up the numbers? Thanks,
As long as there's a full quota of games then I'll run it, even if it's midweek. FA Cup weekend will have to be voided.

Updated, 16 no shows at the moment. You can still enter before KO of your selected game, so all the way up to Monday evening's Arsenal match.
Shouldn't there be a deadline of prior to the opening game of the week?. Like most comps. I think so.
It relies on people coming on to the forum rather than an email out to them with a deadline. People who are late to enter lose out on possible selections so for me that's enough of a punishment. I think we'll lose quite a few this week from no shows anyway.
It's your game so your rules, but I think Manatleisure is right, and I had sent you a PM to that effect before I saw this.
I've answered your PM. To summarise it, it's a friendly competition with a prize of kudos and not much else, so I don't really want it to be a case of enter by xxx time or else. I'm currently playing in a LMS competition with a prize of several hundred pounds and the cutoff time is very much policed as it should be. For a forum game we need to be a bit more relaxed.
Agree with this. You don't get any tangible benefit from putting in a late entry. The opposite in fact. You have fewer options available. I understand a cut off for say the (now defunct) score prediction league, as it messes with the scoring system. But as long as Diamond is willing to ensure there is no cheating, then late entries are fine.
We lost 20, most because they didn't enter, the last few due to Brighton and Wolves losing. If Arsenal fail to win we'll lose a few more.
