Doesn't the advertising despoil the cup? Isn't it offensive to the eyes? Doesn't it draw your eyes away from what is supposed to be the main object of the photo. A shabby commercial stain on what ought to be a noble sporting prize for achievement. Could they get those ribbons any further forward and in yer face? Fly bloody Emirates indeed. I shall make very sure, that in the unlikely event I'm ever in a position to choose between Emirates and any other airline of any description for a flight somewhere, I shall immediately choose their competitor on the grounds that they didn't vandalise one of the country's top sporting trophies by knotting their garish commercial-splattered corporate rags to the handles.
Exactly. To win a cup is just about putting silverware in the trophy cabinet. No one can take away the everlasting glory of finishing 9th.
Yeah those ribbons are a bit OTT but it's inspired me to pen a new chant for today. Tie a Watford ribbon round the Fa cup. It's been 35 years.. so please dont **** up. If we don't see a yellow ribbon round the Fa cup.. We'll park the bus, it's them or us.. put the blame on Wilf. If we don't see a yellow ribbon round.... the Fa Cup! For those of you not old enough. They dont make them like this anymore.. which is just as well really.
Thanks for posting on the forum, we will do our very best. Was delighted you won at their place last week. Looks like another season in the Prem for you lads, and another excellent away day or weekend for us.
Not because theirst owned by the state of Dubai who are guilty of many human rights violations and slavery? I thought you were a political man
I agree Clive however if the cup has yellow and black ribbons on come May, then I wouldn't care less what was written on them.
I agree with all your sentiments except that I won't boycott Emirates because it's a bloody good airline
You're welcome! I'm quite liking this Watford-Brighton friendship, hopefully we both do the business in the semis before we become rivals!
I have always had a soft spot for Brighton. Lovely place, reminds me of childhood holidays, and just about all of their fans are really friendly too.
