Fwiw, my hatred of Palace is because a family member (yes I know!) and some friends support Palarse so it's tongue in cheek - but you wouldn't understand the hyperbolic sarcastic irony of that would you because you're just a visitor?

The metaphoric hyperbole on this forum is what it's famous for, and most visitors like you just take the banter literally and get very upset without realising that we operate on a different intellectual level.

You call us desperate for a rival - perhaps frequent your own team board and forums and read all the hyperbole about Capoue and Deeney and how you want your players to kill them (failed to lay a glove on them in our recent encounter mind you!). Your rivals are Brighton - a rivalry in which no one outside Croydon or Sussex understands. Why wouldn’t you pick Millwall given its proximity? I think we all know the answer...

Thank god you're back, I've really missed you. Some fans probably don't like you but in all honesty that has a lot to do with your diving superstar more than anything else. I've seen posters on your forum say they hate Watford. I don't like Palace much as I don't like most other teams but certainly don't count you as our main rivals. There is only one team I truly hate and it isn't Palace. The two defeats you mention were horrible days out as I'm sure you can appreciate but we are not going to hate another club for them, we simply didn't turn up and you did but we have also beaten you in a play off game so it's swings and roundabouts.
I see you had a couple of decent away wins and have still been rubbish at home. I seem to remember when you were last with us that there was not much difference between the two sides and we had been lucky and you lot were unlucky and that you would catch us up. It still seems to be a 10 point gap. I think you might want to stop worrying about sides above you and maybe concentrate on the teams below you as you are far from safe. Our game against Leicester should probably have been a draw if I'm honest but they had very few clear cut chances and we could easily have been 2 up inside 5 minutes.

Fair enough. I’m not really worried about the teams below is catching up. It’s a straight shootout between Cardiff, saints and Burnley IMO. The result on Saturday was devestating as well as frustrating as we can never seem to consilidate brilliant away wins with home ones that would take us well into mid table and away from danger.

As for some of you thinking Roy won’t go as strong because we aren’t ‘safe’. I disagree, I would argue we need 4 more points. There is no way we won’t accumulate that between now and may. I’m looking forward to a good game on Saturday that for whatever reason has a bit of edge. Could go either way as I’ve said but think we may nick it 2-1

 

I've hated Palace since the 90's. No real reason, they're just not very likeable.

 

I don't hate Palace.

I can honestly say I don't give Palace a moments thought except for 2 x 90 minutes each season.

So that's about 180 in 525,600 minutes, or 0.002% of the time.

There are at least a thousand things I put more thought to.

 

I've never liked Palace much, main reasons being;

Holloway
Venables
Pulis
Pardew
Dowie
South London is a horribly deprived area
Zaha is a cheat
That play-off final

I think the game on Saturday is a straight 50/50 call. Neither of us will win the cup but I guess it would be nice to keep the dream alive a little longer.

 

Don't think so yet. But Moss, Oliver, Taylor, Dean and Pawson have all been given league appointments for the weekend so we're clear of them.
