I'm incredibly excited for this game, to the point that I have my day planned out in precise detail. It's brilliant that it coincides with St.Patricks Day weekend.

I feel pretty anxious about this one. It seems really mega Uber especially important to win and Palace scare me a little from past hurts. Hope we exorcise the ghost of the recentish big game past. Still we did do them in the old play offs which makes me feel a bit more optimistic.

    When there's a Deeney, there's a chance.

Although you could say the same thing about Zaha for them.

Remember 7th place isn't Europe if Utd or City don't win the final. Imagine coming 7th then Palace win the bloody Cup...

Whilst there's still a chance, I hope we go all out to join that exclusive group of clubs who've done the poor man's double: 7th place and beaten finalists. What a thought!

Surely there's a treble in that if we miss out on qualifying for Europe as well?

I would like us to field a "second string" team, beat Palace and then celebrate by watching as Chris Sutton spontaneously combusts in rage.

They’re getting nervous before their cup final. Zaha showing his lack of composure at the end too - clean tackle from the Brighton full back, so he fronts him up and gets in his face. What a baby.

This result could not be better for us.
I thought that they would have nothing else to play for, but now they have a relegation fight on their hands. Should help us no end.

As much as I wish it,Palace are not involved in a relegation fight.
We know their qualities/dangers,let's hope we can defeat them again.
    It will be edgy though.

Maybe I overstated it, but they are not by any means out of danger yet, being 6 points above Southampton, and that of course is assuming that Saints do not make a comeback against Spuds.

They play Huddersfield next in the league.
Even allowing for their woeful home form, they should win that.

    Palace fan on Holmsdale:

We are definitely in relegation danger now. It will be one of us, Cardiff, Southampton, maybe Newcastle.

Cardiff: We are 5 points clear of Cardiff, but we still have to play them, which is a huge benefit to them. Given they could pick up 3 points there and deny us any, we're effectively 2 points safe from Cardiff. True, they play 4 of the big 6, but they are showing signs of life, handling West Ham easily today.

Southampton: Huge 3 points today stolen from Tottenham. They have the easiest schedule left, with only Liverpool being a top 6 team that they have to play. Based on that, I have to imagine they will get a bunch of points the rest of the way.

Burnley: They have the hardest schedule left, 4 of the top 6. A match against Cardiff is the only one they play against fellow relegation candidates.

Us: Who knows. We can't beat anyone at home, we can rarely even score a goal at home. Doesn't matter if we play City or Huddersfield, I have no confidence we can beat anyone at Selhurst. People were saying our "recent form" was good prior to Brighton, but the two games we won, we were outplayed and were lucky to win. So we've had three games in a row now where we didn't play that great.

Based on the schedules, I think the Saints are safe. Cardiff will be a dog fight with us, and I'm hoping all the good teams can keep Burnley from getting points.

I really think we're in more danger than people realize.

HB1 inflitrated their forum, stirring up relegation fears and distracting them from the game next weekend. Clever move.

Palace will not go down for the simple reason that I want them to.
They flirt with the bottom 6 every season, apart from the one when Pullis was in charge. They will almost certainly finish 12th.

Palace will pick up at least another 2 wins which is likely all they need. Shame they aren’t 3-4 points worse off. May have got a little interesting then.

But Palace shouldn't be anywhere near trouble, what with them being a massive club and all. Their catchment area in so*th London should be worth 3 points at least, and players like £30 million Sakho, and £100 million Wilf, not forgetting the rest of the best back 4 outside of the top 6 should be able to keep them up.

Their catchment area won't let them be relegated.

Even if they were to end up in the relegation zone come the final game of the season, the PL would allow them to stay up because of Capoue’s tackle on Zaha.

Palace apparently up for sale-work on the new stadium did not start as planned-possible link between the two-maybe the USA investors do not see the returns on their investment coming anytime soon

The Swansea experience may be spreading the word that unless you are a top 6 side the billions of the EPL for the rest are just like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow

Get them nervous to stop all the
‘I hate Watford tinpot club/we’re going to smash them/ we always beat them in cucial games/Watford is a sh!thole’ arrogant attitude posts they normally come up with.

They’re going out of the cup, losing their wealthy Yank backers, staying in a crumbling Selhurst with no new stand and fighting for their lives to stay in the EPL.

    I hate Palace.

Some Palace fans are worried and this is what we shd be telling our Palace supporting mates to pass onto Wilf:
    (Also from Holmsdale)

Shocking set of results yesterday from our own perspective, throwing us right back into the relegation mix and discussed by many.
Southampton, Newcastle,Brighton and Cardiff all winning to put increasingly pressure on us.
My own feelings are to forget the Cup( put out a weakened team to avoid injury to key players) and concentrate purely on staying in the top tier.

    Well, I’m back.

Firstly, I was right, you lot do actually hate us for no reason. Awwww cute! So desperate for a rival it’s laughable. One poster simply wrote “I hate palace”. None of you ever actually give any reasons for it aside from our poorly equipped stadium. I do sometimes wonder about Watford fans hatred of palace. Is it the play off final defeat ?? Is it the FA cup semi final defeat?? Please enlighten me.

As for the game next week, away from home I’m fairly confident going into any game to be honest. It will be tight for sure but I think we may nick it 2-1. Your home luck can’t last forever. I mean don’t kid yourselfs, how you won that Leicester game is beyond me, as is your current points tally.

Before you spout nonsense do your research. We actually finished above you last season mate!! One good season and you actually believe your something you’re not. Palace and Watford are not that far apart on the pitch in my opinion.

Their wage bill is almost the same as Spurs’.

    An exercise in mediocrity.

Wilf is the lipstick on a particularly ugly pig.

    1-2 Palarse.

    Fascinating.

This could be disastrous for CP.

There is now a tide of American investors who reversed out of Prem clubs (Liverpool, Villa, Palarse). Swansea has been a disaster.

The penny is dropping that owning a middling club doesn’t offer quick profits. Quite the opposite.

    Who would buy Palarse?

Trophy hunters want trophies. Finance people want returns. CP won’t offer either.

Their best chance may be to woo Giampaulo to set up a second Pozzo Prem concern.

The problem for you is that the lines are heading in dangerously different directions.

WFC have a pipeline of talent stretching into the future & are financially sound.

CPFC have just been ditched by their backers. Relegation inevitable once Crazee Wilf decides to upgrade.
