Ptresumably they'll just move and sit in the empty seats or is that area netted off ? It would have to be pretty firm netting to stop them relocating.

Dunno. Palace fans reckon it'll be netted but thinking about it I guess it's unlikely as one off expense. And if they want to spread out it just dilutes their impact a bit more.

They can have the extra seats as somewhere to keep their t-shirts/sweatshirts for when they rip them off to flex their muscles.

Aren't Palace mostly a second team for most their fans? I thought they all supported Cheslea, Spurs and Arsenal?

In a further attempt to stop Palace fans recreating their world-renowned atmosphere, we've banned anyone from bringing a drum into the ground too, apparently. Not sure if other musical instruments are similarly affected. I hope not as I'd planned to bring my harp to this one

I've never heard a cowbell 'ding'; it makes more of a 'toc-toc' sound.

Any thoughts as to why they were given the entire Vic (minus a thousand seats) and not the LGT?

The lower GT is now quite the thoroughfare though isn’t it? I think for security reasons, it’s no longer really suitable to house anything other than home fans. I’d be very surprised if the club ever put away fans anywhere other than the VRS now.

I don't know the turnstile arrangements there any more for sure, does the Family area share the GT stand's turnstiles? Just having them in the Family Stand has its own problems if they are shared.

It does. However I guess the new (away only) turnstiles they built where the shop used to be on Vicarage Road are big enough to handle entry to the whole stand. So they'll just roll the shutters down at the end of the VR End stand concourse where it meets the GT stand/turnstile block and they'll be segregated that way. As Burnsy says, I don't think there's an obvious way the LGT can be segregated from the rest of the stadium these days. If nothing else there's the SW corner development which has a big thoroughfare underneath connecting the Rookery, UGT and LGT areas.

I bow to both of your, and the club's, knowledge. If the entire Vic could have been given over to home fans and Palace the lower GT it would have been.

Ticketing appears to be a shambles.

No way to book on ticketing site. Ticket office goes to bleeps after selecting option 1.

I couldn’t select my son’s season ticket seat even though he is linked so just gave up and picked two seats in LGT instead. This was after ringing the ticket office and getting engaged tone after picking option 1. Amateur.

Not sure if this helps but just in case anyone hasn’t cracked the code. The ticket is reserved in the reserved element of your account. So rather than go through the normal process you have to click on the reserved tickets element of your account. As far as I see each season ticket holder has to go through their individual account as this is the only way to access tickets.

Yes that's right. I've just nabbed Moog's 3 tickets. But that's ok as I am him.

Was all over the shop when I booked mine.
I managed in the end but more by luck than judgement.
Other friends have experienced the same problem.

Through the website. As long as you check the reserved ticket in your account it’s fine.

Yep, the ticketing is a bit odd and not obvious at first glance. I had to do 3 separate logins and transactions for our 3 tickets ... maybe we'll get 3 envelopes through the post.
