I have it on good authority (the actress who played Rowan Atkinson’s wife on the 90’s hit comedy “ the thin blue line”) that Natalie Dormer is a ****, a high maintenance, up her on bottom, ****

Maybe I could volunteer for the job.

Silva putting out a full strength team suggests that he was told he needed to progress in the cup to keep his job.

Unfortunately I think he will be sacked before our game. Pressure is on big time. If he is still in charge vs Huddersfield, I hope they win (I feel dirty), because a draw or loss will certainly see him sacked before our game. I want Everton losing to us to be the reason he is sacked.

I'm sure he's got his eye on a job at a bigger club than Everton. He'll know that Solkjaer is only a stopgap

He's now 4/1 second favourite to be sacked, with the odds shortening after today.

Looking at their fixtures, they have a real chance of getting sucked into the relegation fight.

    Huddersfield (a ), with the new manager bounce, Wolves (h ), Watford (a ), City (h ), Cardiff (a ), Liverpool (h ), Newcastle (a ), Chelsea (h ), West Ham (a ), Arsenal (h ), Fulham (a ), United (h ), Palace (a ), Burnley (h ), Spurs (a ).

That is a really tough run in. Virtually all their home games are against the top 6 and virtually all their away matches are against teams fighting for their survival. Make no mistake, if they keep Silva they are in big trouble with that run of fixtures.

Today, we made 11 changes yet beat a fellow Premier League side on their own pitch by two clear goals. Everton fielded their strongest possible side, yet lost to a Championship side who are 19th in the league!! It's just ridiculous the contrasting fortunes of both sides.

It's not a case of if, it's a case of when they sack Silva. He's not going to turn it around so I see very little point in keeping him.

His stubbornness for zonal marking still amazes me. Millwall did exactly the right thing from dead ball scenarios. Even sweeter knowing Millwalls second should of been disallowed for handball

He blamed VAR not being able to be present at all FA Cup games. Then he finally said they should have done better with goals 1 & 3 and then blamed the ref.

This loss will hit them particularly hard. I think their fans would abide by an attritional season in the league if it was supplemented by a cup run. But now it's another trophy-less year, another year of irrelevance.

Only if Silva limps on until we play them,we win and he is chased up Occupation Road by Moshiri who is wielding a six foot inflatable snake, named Gerald.

He has a point about VAR but maybe then they could lend Millwall the costs of it rather than wasting x millions on players to sit on the bench or in the stands as they have done so often over the past 2/3 seasons.

    Millwall - Behind Enemy Lines

Been taking an interest in your Forum since the 4th Round draw was made. As usual with allPrem teams most of you just assumed you would turn up and roll over us. Slagging us off as a football club and our fans who according to you are all all talk and no do.

Well how did that work out for you today?

Frankly, to tell you what you probably already know - that was genuinely the easiest game we have had all season. Lookman, Tosun when he came on and Coleman who is honest as the day is long apart - your premier league poseurs have no heart, no fight, and no pride whatsoever in your club badge - they don't care about Everton FC and they dont give a toss about you the fans. £50M players? My god - our entire team cost anout £1.8M in total and I think we overpaid! How can you relate to those charlatans? How can you feel that these totally disconnected mercenaries really represent you and your proud community? Absolutely shameful and even though you may hate us and look down on us - our beloved Millwall are everything we want them to be - the football club, the players who represent our football club and our fiercely loyal and proud fans on the pitch, and our fans. We are real people with a real traditional football club which remains completely in sync and as one with our fans (they know they have to represent us on the pitch and what we expect and demand of them or we get em out very quickly) - and what we are is enough for us and we wouldn't change a thing. We are happy with our club, our manager, our style of play, our passion, our uniqueness, our fans and the honest effort and heart our players put into their game - and we can relate to them coz they are an extension of us. And we are happy we are through to the 5th Round of the FA Cup with the easiest win we have had all season. Your players just take yourmoney and give you nothing back - they don't care about Everton FC.

We knew we would beat you today coz you have not fight and no heart. Must be honest we are a little disappointed as we wanted to come visit you in numbers to say hi for the replay and knock you out in your own manor [IMG] c'est la vie! (or should I say que sera sera!)

I hope the few fans of yours that travelled get back safely. See you again sometime. Millwall K2K bush, bush, bush x

    Response:

Great post mate. I have always had massiverespect for your club and identity. There are big similarities between Millwall and Everton. Hardcore working class support for a team surrounded by more successful neighbours.

The atmopshere today was the best I can remember in any game I have attended in years. We may have got the best of it outside (as usual) but your boys were banked up in the corners of the ground by our support. Just like the old days. You had to hve heart and spirit as a player and fan.

Your spot on with your assessment of out team and manager. Our fans turn up in massive numbers to watch utter shhyte week after week because the `club' and its history means so much to us.

As for the current squad and management team - if i never heard one word about them ever again and they all just disappeared I would be over the moon.

    Schadenfreude:D:D :)

This current run of form that Everton has made me question one thing. I was always of the opinion that Silva essentially downed tools during the darkest days of his time here, but maybe it's the case that really is just clueless. The set-piece flaw was obvious here, and he's clearly done nothing to improve that side of things. We lacked discipline and concentration late in games, other flaws that are clearly having an equal impact at Everton. He really is a fraud. We've dodged an absolute bullet.

Well we always knew it would be one of two outcomes, but I don’t think any of us could say for sure. 1) He is a really good coach and just downed tools with us, with him going on to be a big success at Everton. 2) He is a terrible coach and will get found out before long.

Of the two, I’m very glad it’s turned out to be the latter. I think however there was still an element of downing tools to our situation with him, remember how bad we were? Something like 1 win in 11?

His attitude filtered through to the players and made us even worse than we would’ve been, however there was also more than enough evidence to show that he was also a very poor coach.

I think I would say that Silva was very good at motivating others when he was motivated himself, but he loses heart quickly and then fails to motivate. And he is indeed a poor coach

Apparently we stung them by selling them a dud manager. Not sure we sold him, I feel if anything they tried to steal him. As far as I was aware buying/selling is normally a mutual agreement to a transaction.

If you went to supermarket, stole a past it sell buy date chicken and ate it raw could you complain that they sold you something dodgy if you got sick?

We stung THEM by SELLING THEM a dud.

    Wow.

It’s like stealing someone’s tyres off a yellow car. Leaving the car on bricks. Putting the tyres on your blue car, having a horrendous season long car crash involving the tyres deflating sadly and only going in one direction and then knocking on the door of the yellow car’s owner to ask for compensation for selling you bad tyres
