Just seen Nathan Jones' first press interview for Stoke City. He starts off "We were in a real good place at Brighton.....erm...sorry I mean Luton.....".

He seriously said that. He must have thought.....it was some team with "ton" at the end, but which one? Wonderful......he's forgotten them already....that really made me laugh.

It would be a shame if they started losing now and slipped down the league.
Id feel sorry for their fans getting so close to the promised land of the championship, after all these years in the lower leagues, just to have the carpet pulled from under them.
I am sure everyone will be behind me in wishing our neighbours good luck under their caretaker manager Mick Harford.

Maybe they could have a little fight at their next away game or do some racism to cheer themselves up? They like those kind of things right?

Blimey, is that their best option, he is thicker than a whale omelette. Ho could completely destroy what looks like a really promising season and undo all the good work done so far.
    Good luck Mick!

The move was done very quickly wasn't it ..

Wonder if Stoke had tapped Jones up and knew he would push to leave Luton ?

Luton fans not happy but since when was loyalty a key word in football..

They will probably go out and nick someone else's manager!

Nathan Jones sure knows how to get the scummers riled. Wins manager of the month for his exploits with them in December. Poses with trophy in full Stoke City regalia.

I don't know what sort of curse someone has placed on that sh*tstain of a club but it's a beauty. They get their heads put down the toilet bowl time after time whilst their main and bitterly hated rivals go from strength to strength.

Having lived through and been to the games in the 70s/80, I can honestly say it's 100% deserved.

I really thought I was being wound up when it was suggested that the sheep shagger was pictured in a stoke top picking up the manager of the month award won by Luton Town players but I was sadly deluded. ####ing unbelievable, totally insensitive and another kick in the ******** for Luton players and fans.

At the risk of being accused of highbrowism, I submit this as suitable for the occasion of Jnes dumping on his former club:

Hmm.. maybe they are a threat for promotion.

Even got a point with 10 men at Sunderland.

Mind you might mean they are rubbish next season if they went up !

Charlton and Barnsley seem to be gaining momentum and a good time. They're only a few (less?!) points behind Loon.

Lee Probert went some of the way to redeeming himself at the weekend by sending off Luton's striker for a nothing clash during their important promotion game against Sunderland.

Oh, and from the same game, Luke O'Nien remembering he's Watford and smashing into at tackle, then having a go at a scummer.

To be honest, it's a great location, right in the town centre, way better than what they have now. Unfortunately, they can not celebrate just yet, they need to finance it with the enabling development by junction 10 of the M1. It's not too far from my manor and they may struggle to get that through as people are not too keen on it and the fact that the development's main tenant will be either a Debanham's or M&S, who are both shutting stores.

I can see them still playing at the kennel in 10 years time, hopefully against our under 23's in the Checkatrade!

Yeah but very early days. They can't do the stadium without getting planning permission for development of the land they own next to the M1. They need the money from that to pay for the stadium. That one's up before the planning committee on 30 January and heavily opposed by the owners of the town's shopping centre because it's out of town development.

And even if that works out the whole lot still has to go to a government minister to decide whether to call the application in and hold a planning inquiry because it's a major development. They've gotta be 2-3 years away from shovels in the ground i'd guess.
