Banging on about Wolverhampton Wanderers this and that after beating Tottenham. They do love to try and deliver a narrative even if it's completely false and cliched. No doubt forgetting how we schooled the Wolves making them look like the proverbial pub team at Molineux.

MOTD2 with Mark Chapman who has a soft spot for us (he did work with GT) is far more balanced in this regard and did a nice montage aside from the music of our goal of the season competition thus far last Sunday. It' Another Cracker from Watford.

As have Huddersfield and Cardiff along with some other less fancied teams.

Clearly Wolves raise their game against the top sides - probably because most of their team are used to playing against such elite teams and not little old Watford etc.

Tony Cascarino joining Danny Murphy in saying Doucouré has been our best player....not even in our top 5 I'd say so far this season!

I quite like Cascarino and he's usually better than that so I'll overlook it,just this once.
Murphy however is a bad penny, crops up everywhere and makes Eeyore seem happy go lucky!
    He loves Hodgson though.

Well that's a joke... Liverpool, who only beat Brighton because of a dodgey penalty are first? BBC can do one at this point

Record it and press the button until it says x30 to skip all the ****. I might watch Declan Rice’s goal though. Always good to see an Irish lad scoring in the premier league.

Has he actually declared for the Republic as yet Irishorn ? Mick had talks with him but there is nothing official as yet. Is there ?

My son informed me this week that he’d slept in the same bed as Rice, albeit not at the same time.

    Crazy teen stuff.

The couple of times I’ve watched him, he’s been highly impressive.

Think it's right Burnley and Fulham is before us as it's a relegation battle, probably toss of a coin if we should be ahead of Saints vs Lesta. Due to fact we came back from a goal down i'd say we should have been ahead but otherwise probably no complaints from me, and wait will be worth it

Glad they highlighted the Vardy diving tonight. Must have been tough for Lineker to have to talk about his little angel in such disparaging ways. But, Vardy does try his best to engineer a penalty. He's usually very good at it, but got found out today. Should have been booked though.

Lee Mason at it again. In the Cardiff v Huddersfield match, gives a penalty then changes his mind and awards a goal kick. Utter shambles. This guy has to be kicked out from Premier League games. Not up to it.

  21. I may be wrong but looked to me like it's the first time the "assistant referee" has actually assisted the referee to make a decision.

Should be more of that in the game.

Should there? What if the assistant is wronger? Remember the ghost goal v Reading, it was the lino that told Atwell to give the goal.

Was it the right decision though to change his mind?

I don't think so but it was against a team managed by Colin so I'm probably biased

Jon Moss did the West Ham v Arsenal match today.....and Atwell was his linesman as the original linesman was ill at half time. My god, what a combo to have. So pleased it wasn't our game.

Talking of useless things, here's an article on Jon Moss from a couple of years ago. Clearly things have not improved as he is still the worst referee in the Premier League.

No…...the foul started outside the box, but the player was brought down inside the penalty area. I could understand it if he decided to give a freekick to Huddersfield outside the box, after consultation, but goal kick is just wrong.

All the pundits thought it was a penalty and the original decision should have stood.

    Amazed Moss is that young.

He has the physique of a 60 yo.

There doesn’t seem much competition re refs.

Not something I monitor but I would aim to have 3-5 young thrusters continually pushing for Prem games.

Ref World seems a little cosy.

Mason, Friend and Moss are all terrible refs. None of them have ever given us anything, either, but it’s their sheer ineptitude that really gets to me. See way better refs doing local non-League games.

We're sitting 7th in the Premier League after 22 games, made a £20m profit in the summer transfer window, but is there any credit or focus to point that out? I've not seen it ever mentioned on any show. Why don't they say these things instead of the managers/loans etc?

It's very strange how we're continually being ignored.

We're called a bag of Revels by Merson continually. We're just 6 points behind United, and they've been on this fantastic run. Had we beat them at the Vic then we'd be level. Only a small change in one result.

We've been pretty consistent if you ask me. He just focuses on the Bournemouth home defeat as a stick to beat us with. He's not the only one, but the most annoying as he tends to get a lot of airtime.

But but but benitez is doing a wonderful job at Newcastle, he hasn't been given any money and cobbled his squad together with pure management skill, right? Right?

Javi has us 7th, with a lower net spend and with no say in transfers, and does it with a smile on his face. We are literally a miracle team, but nobody cares.

    Really?
Don't know exactly what you watch or read but i don't think i've seen so much positive stuff about our club as i have this season.. not in 45 years of being a supporter.
It's true we don't have the media coverage of a top club.. and never will. But i think we should stop feeling sorry for ourselves and accept we won't be first on MOTD very often. That's the way of the world i'm afraid.

I don't know what you watch or read either as that has not been my experience at all. Being ignored does not count as positive coverage.

Even in the lead up to today's game the focus was on Deeney's comments and whether Watford will target Zaha again. No mention will Zaha dive again. There's always a negative slant or nothing at all. It's very rare to see a positive spin on Watford, and if you see it, it really stands out as the exception.

I think there is an extreme snobbery surrounding those that report on the Premier League. I have The Debate on series link, but nearly always delete it as they only ever focus on the top 6. Maybe there's a footnote bit at the very end regarding some other event.....but that's it.

If any club dares to do well, the general reaction is to rubbish it, unless that club is considered fashionable or popular. There's a general attitude that sweeps through and Wolves are this season's favourite team. You'll only ever hear nice things said about that club.

I wish there was a more level playing field when it comes to punditry. Talk about all clubs and just be honest about them.

We'll beg to differ HB.. but ive seen several small segments on MOTD praising our style of play and there's been several positive media pieces about our achievements this season from various publications.. many have been linked on this very forum.

Not that i saw it but the press are always gonna pick up on something as tangible as Troy's comments, which he made on a national media outlet. They are never going to discuss if an individual player is going to dive in a specific game. Have you ever seen that kind of coverage of any player?

Our club comms could be hugely sharpened up.

Old stuff but Deeney should be muzzled.

And Gino could easily launch a prawn cocktail charm offensive.

He won’t as his approach is reserved & on a need to know basis.

I would do the same as him but he could be much more pro active in building the club’s image.

The Bournemouth Bugle has a Dive of the Day feature but, apart from that, no.
