Best to move before March or you'll need visas, character references, be unable to buy property, be subject to VAT and duty, spend 3 months in customs at the port etc
Apparently Bobby loves Wally more than Gino: http://sportwitness.co.uk/i-confirm...-transfer-interest-excessive-hornets-demands/
The agent says: 'He’s concentrated on Watford. And the club absolutely does not want to sell, halfway through the championship.' Is this Bobby or Fessi we're talking about? Btw, I confess my heart sinks each time I see the Pereyra thread bumped. Can't we contrive to get him incarcerated & then loyally stick by him through his term so that, morally, he has to stay? (This kind of ploy is often used in PG Wodehouse plots. Is Gino a connoisseur of the great farceur?)
Get ready to top yourselves folks, chelsea like him too according to this poorly written article. https://www.football-italia.net/133053/toro-chelsea-pereyra " Roberto Pereyra’s agent confesses Torino and Chelsea both ‘like’ the Watford midfielder but ‘almost categorically’ rules out a January transfer. Pereyra’s good form for Watford this season has seen him linked with both clubs, and Sergio Furlan admitted the Argentine - who joined the Hornets from Juventus in 2016 - was eyeing a return to European football. “2018 was the year of his take-off,” he told Tuttosport. “He scored a dozen goals in a calendar year, something he’d never done before, and we’re talking about a midfielder, not a striker. “He starts from the left and comes inside. The Coach is getting the best out of him in this position and he’s doing very well. “Mazzarri likes him, but so does Sarri. Maxi has great esteem for Mazzarri because he’s a sincere man. “He’s a great Coach and he knows how to get the best out of players. He moved to the Premier League after two years with Juventus thanks to Mazzarri. “The Coach wanted him at Watford in 2016, but I can say that he already tried to sign him in 2012 when he was at Napoli. “Did Mazzarri want him at Toro last summer? Yes, I can confirm that. There were talks, but the English team’s demands were considered excessive, I can’t deny that. “A transfer in January? You can never say never in the market, but I tend to exclude it almost categorically. “Chelsea also tried, but without success. To Toro in the summer? It would amaze me if the Granata didn’t try again, but we must see Maxi’s desires, Watford’s plans and the offers that will arrive. “He wants to go back to playing in Europe, possibly in the Champions League.”
New contract being discussed isn’t there? This is all just his agent doing his job creating noise to drive the package higher.
Some birds are not meant to be caged. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet and wild. So you let them go. He' an argentina international, it's bonkers he's not playing in europe. Some chumps league standard team will buy him in the summer, mark my words.
He could certainly move in the summer, but this sounds 150% like an agent just doing his job. Making the bloke seem as desired and desirable as possible. It would be Champions League football that would do it.
Been fantastic for us and an absolute pleasure to watch, if he wants to go then we should let him go in the Summer
If we somehow manage to qualify for Europe then I think he will stay. If not then I can’t blame him for wanting to leave. He’s 28 at the peak of his career, has about 4, maybe 5 years left of being able to play top flight football. As much as I love Watford, if you have an opportunity to go play in the CL for this last 4 years, then you’re going to take it. I just hope we don’t under sell him. In today’s market, he is worth at least £30mil and we shouldn’t sell for less. I’m just hoping the contract rumours are true, and that he will sign a new deal. Similar to Doucoure, sign it, just so we can get some more money. However, with one year left on his contract come the summer, then I would imagine we will sell him for about £20mil.
Erno Goldfingers work. Hille House. Ian Fleming disliked his work and then used his name for one of Bond's chief opponents. Torino fans like those of TSV Munich dislike Juventus. Partly because of their success when once upon a time Torino were the top dogs in the city and were a team beloved throughout Italy. Grande Torino as they were known were the dominant force in Italian football until the Superga air disaster which claimed the lives of several great players such as Ezio Loik and Valentino Mazzola in 1949. Turin also has great ice cream cafes. Perhaps we should send Deeney instead...
Now Chelsea in the mix. Agent is definitely shopping. Makes sense. He has one more good contract in him at this age.
Don’t be so dismissive of their club. If they hadn’t broken the Nazi enigma code , we d all be speaking German right now .
Torino sniffing around again after qualifying for Europe. Poor old Milan. Great on his day, just doesn't have enough good days in my opinion. Old Walt loves him so expecting a move this window. Hopefully replaced with quality and not one of Sema or Success.
As I mentioned in the transfer suggestions thread, I think it'd be great if we could do a swap deal with Torino for their 22 year-old Brazilian CB Lyanco who they had on loan at Bologna last season. There are a number of clubs sniffing around, and Mazzari is reluctant to let him go, but perhaps the carrot of Pereyra could be enough to sway things for us. As for replacing Pereyra, Lukebakio could be used on the left, and we should sign at least one other wide player in addition (touch wood).
