Really don't see him going for 20 million. We could get way more than that for him and he is worth more than that to us. So f*** off Walter.

He's worth double that in this economic climate.

Anyone know how long he has on his contract? As he’ll have been with us for 3 seasons after this year and I don’t remember him signing an extension - could be why the price quoted is on the low side.

Surprised there’s been little to no talk of a new deal to be honest.

2021. So more of an issue next January if he hasn't signed a new deal by then I'd say.

    LOLOLOL. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Agent crap and wishful thinking on the part of Turismo journos.

If Juve or Inter calls, OK then.

Pereyra is good at football and therefore I want him to stay at Watford, the team that I support.

Torino are hardly a small club and have money - when you add that to the fact that Pereyra himself has said how much he loved Turin as a city, it's not beyond the realms of having some truth to it.

They are a mid-table club in the 4th best league in Europe. They have no chance at Champions league football, and even Europa league is a stretch. Pereyra starts at a mid-table club in the top league in Europe (sorry La Liga) and plays for a manager who clearly values him.

If a club comes in (Juve, Inter, Napoli, Milan, etc...) that guarantees him a place for Champions League football, I could see something happening. Likewise if a top 4-5 side from Spain came in. Torino is a big club like... Everton or West Ham are - but in a league with less revenue. Yes, they have more money than us, but it's unlikely there's enough to change Pereyra's world. If Mazzari weren't there, this would even be a story. And we all know Wally... he likely won't be there long anyway. Pereyra knows that too.

It's rubbish - cooked up to get a fresh payday.

    No

    They

    Haven't

A simple search of the club's financial statements would show you that. Of all the garbage that gets floated on here during a transfer window, this rumour is one of the most ******ous. Torino are roughly on a level with Reading or Sheffield United.

More money than us? No. Enough money to likely put together a deal for him? Possibly.

He’s been linked to Torino for a while now and it’s on record that the player himself loves the city. I agree it’s an unlikely move given all the conditions but you’re talking like it’s impossible and it really isn’t. Likening then to Reading and Sheffield United really just shows your lack of knowledge of them. They spent around £50m in the summer, have a number of internationals and a couple in the Italian National side. Last time I checked, Reading didn’t...

I’m sure you’ll just respond with some more insults or wild claims. But it’s easier just to debate using actual facts no?

    Well...

    That.

    Escalated.

    Quickly.

I'll raise your spacing, and, add, inappropriate, punctuation.

With respect to Torino's financial statements:
    i) I can't be arsed. I have lint navel to remove.
    b) Who trusts Italian financial records anyway?
    3) Who reads Italian?

All that aside. My statement stands. The story is still rubbish.

Does he? When did he say this?

A quick google search suggests that they pay Andrea Belotti near £2.5m per season - that's £130k a week. I'd suggest they may be able to get his attention with figures near that.

I wouldn't be so dismissive of this, remember he came from Juventus who are in Turin (or Torino if you prefer) so he was settled there and probably still has a house there.

A nonsense of a story that was doing the rounds in the summer and has been rehashed. Won’t be sold this window, unless a silly offer is made.

Not a tough choice if you're looking where to go on your holidays. But as a serious football option, Watford is a much better bet.

Well TBH they have a 700 year-old bedsheet with a picture of a medieval hippie on it that some people are convinced is 2000 years old - and they pay big money to view it.

IBB to Torino would be like the ravens leaving the Tower of London.

But for €20m, I could see Gino doing it.

Maybe for €20. He is a bit tight.
