Can’t see our premier league international superstars wanting to use those showers. They probably looked at the state of the 2 shower
heads and said **** breaking a sweat and having to get in there and share it with big balls Troy.

Here's the big issue for me. Did Javi really give their manager a bottle of sangria? :D

To be fair the away changing rooms at The Vic were not great last time I was in them.

I was quite impressed by Wokings No2, I thought he had a good game.

    As for our boys: -

Gomes - Did what he had to do, never troubled IMO.
    Jannmatt - Likewise.
    Willmot - Likewise.
Brittos - Looked very composed, might still be OK as our main CB backup IMO.
Massina - Was very impressed by him, I wonder if he could move across to CB, he is certainly big enough.
Hughes - Had a good game, and took his goal well.
Chalobah - Still not looking his old self, gave the ball away quite a bit.
Penaranda - Looked good in flashes, perhaps a bit rusty though.
Quina - Did OK, but possibly still a little lightweight.
Success - Is not living up to his name, as he is still not looking very successful IMO.

Deeney - Did enough to put that CB that threatened to put him in row Z in his place, completely done him for his goal.
Navarro - Not on long enough to form an opinion.
Sema - Looked lively when he came on.

A good professional performance, nothing more nothing less.

All part of the psychological part of the game. Make it as uncomfortable as possible.
Teams playing Wimbledon back in the day used to get ready on the bus. As Wimbledon only had cold water and no heat in their away dressing rooms.

Job done but nothing more, didn't embarrass ourselves even though that's what the media wanted. We were never in danger of conceding and controlled it from start to finish. Did what we had to without breaking a sweat.

Success didn't have a great game today, but my theory is that he is trying just too hard.

A few weeks ago he had a decent run in the team and was doing pretty well. He held on to the ball well, off-loaded it well, and kept things moving nicely. He looked dangerous at times and used his strength well. But he was never really doing anything spectacular, but in my view was doing well.

Then he was dropped for no apparent reason,

Since then he has only been given short appearances.

I reckon he now thinks he needs to produce the spectacular to get a run in the team, whereas alll he should need to do is provide more than Deeney.

Bad player management in my view.

Great finish from Will and a good team goal for the second.Great ball from Q and bustling run and cross from Cuddly Ken.

Very enjoyable. Best non-league game I've been to since I was watching Cambridge Utd in the Southern League in the late Sixties. Some of the team in green might be able to play at a higher level.

Gomes - 1, voted for an awful bloke in some election.

Janmatt - 2, surprised he turned up. Awful sleeve tattoo.

Wilmott - 2, still not over what he did to Kathy. Anonymous.

Britos - 1, should be nowhere near the team, ran a poor leisure centre into the ground. Sad!

Masina - 2. Decent non league player. Abysmal.

Chalobah - 4, found his level. What's happened to him? I shattered my knee this morning yet can still write this post. Poor.

Cleverley - 2, shoe in for the next Celebrity Big Brother. No ambition.

    Quina - 1, thinks he's Messi, embarrassing.

    Penaranda - 1, thinks he's Messi. Embarrassing.

Success - 0, laughable. Didn't even apologise to the linesman. Shameful.

Deeney - 0, overweight. Proven when he took off his shirt at the end. More interested in having a chat with fans than scoring goals. Sick of it.

Sema - 0, Regularly loses the keys to his BMW and forgets who he is. Useless.

Navarro - 8, saved us in the end. Thankfully. World class performance.

I agree he had a decent spell, but even then he had some shockers (that clean through conversion attempt v Leicester springs to mind). He has some moments of promise and then just lapses into poorness or mediocrity. He's had a lot of chances all told and just isn't consistent enough and more importantly doesn't seem to improve. His best performance was 2 seasons ago when he terrorised Bournemouth as a substitute. How many chances can we give him?

Good to see Lloyd Doyley in with the away fans. Did not realised he had enough away games in to be A++. As for the game, Wilmot and Britis played well as did Massina and Hughes (first half). Chalobah looked like a player who needs regular minutes - on loan maybe? Good that we were able to rest our first choice midfield and forward three. Success- the booking looked harsh from the terraces, but he does go down easier than Audley Harrison and his first touch and passing are wayward. But you can see there is a player in there somewhere. Think he will get better, and you can see why Okaka was allowed to go.

I like being on my own (how did you know that I was anyway) ? I always use Wetherspoons when I'm away, I get my Abbot, and I can enjoy it in peace without all the horrible loud music you get these days. I was out of there before it got overcrowded, and was back in the Travelodge by 9.45
    I'm in there again now.

A predictable performance. Watford never perform well against sh*t teams. I thought Penaranda looked promising and Sema did well too. We won and that's what matters.

Point taken. But scoring so early I think killed any chance of the game being a spectacle. They were clearly there not to get walloped and we had an unfamiliar team with some players not even fully match fit. You only have to see other scores this afternoon to realise that it was a professional job done - albeit lacking in finesse or real quality.

All you could hear at the ground was the Woking songs. Never heard the Watford fans so quiet - and I sit in the UGT. The explanation is that the TV gantry was right behind the Watford terrace

Must be the first time that a team has played a back four that all had double letters in their names. And then they brought Navarro on too!

A fair point. However, if Success throws in as poor a performance as that against part timers then he's effectively made sure he has no chance whatsoever of starting against Palace. Maybe you can't win a first team place but you can certainly lose the opportunity to start.

Would like to see Peneranda in the squad against Palace. Apparently there are only 3 players out injured now and a couple of them will be back soon. Will be interesting to see who JG picks

Voice of reason needs to check VAR as his spelling is suspect, the only players who could have played in the back four with double letters would be Deeney, Success (two positions) and Navarro

If I'm a manager and we played a cup game like that away I'd be delighted, a real pipe and slipper job where the opposition was lucky to get nil, Wilmot looked a prospect at the back and Penarananananda looked like he wanted to be on the ball even if he looked understandably rusty. Think we had around five shots in the fist five minutes which killed any atmosphere from the home crowd. Success lead the line well and where he falls short is in getting in those goal scoring positions which Deeney showed with a tap in, good call from the manager to bring him on for Success who had put a shift in (We should remember the guy is still young, think 22, how good was Deeney at that age?). How cool was it to bring in Nate and Clevs into central midfield - Two players with England caps. Chalobah gave the ball away a bit but also kept it under pressure well a lot which is his game, anyone remember the Boothroyd days of 'fight ball' down the channels or how we were so lame against Millwall the other year.? I think the job Gracia is doing is being overlooked cos he doesn't strut around like a Silva and seems like a nice guy, the guy knows what he's doing though despite the gentleman exterior.

We are a centre back or two from being something really special, in the meantime we're pretty good to watch and i'll take that

He is awful. Absolutely awful. It wasn't just the fans having a pop at him today, 5 minutes before half time Hughes started giving him a few words and Success got a bit pi55y about it, but Hughes was absolutely right to have a pop at him. He's a lazy farker who thinks he is far better than he is. Cleverley also had a pop at him in the second half before he was finally subbed off.

Penaranda looks good on first showing, and Wilmot again didn't put a foot wrong.

Very boring, job done and in the hat.

Hughes , Gomes and Cleverly did a good job at keeping a young unexperienced side together

Thought Challobah was alright , but seemed to be hanging around in defence rather than pushing up.

Britos didn’t put anybody in hospital which was nice, perhaps a year off has given him time to think about his behaviour and will now be a great player.

Quina looks ok , got talent needs to be developed

Peneranda , wasn’t sure about , no one would pass to him , he wouldn’t pass to anybody else and took wild shots from anywhere (isnt that Capoue’s job)

I think I am most disappointed by Success , if you cant score against woking (no disrespect) you will not be scoring many in the prem, another one of our players who If was just that little bit better would probably be playing for a top 6 club.

A great performance by Watford's second string. That was a very impressive how we controlled the game and showed the correct attitude throughout. We were so well drilled and attitude means everything in games like this. Had we taken the match with a pinch of salt, then we'd have probably lost.

They only created one real chance and that was right at the end of the game. The only negative, was the lack of good opportunities we created throughout the game, but the result was never in doubt really.

Good to finally see Penaranda in a Watford shirt. He showed a lot of promise. Apparently the best finisher at the club!!. He's got that arrogant Richarlison look about him. Sure, he was a bit rusty, but there is something "special" about him and all good sides need that little bit of quality.

Hughes stood out for me. Not only his goal, but his all round play was excellent. Good to see Chalobah as well. He was quieter and is still clearly feeling his was back, but now needs games. That pass in the past minute for Janmaat was spectacular.

Masina was strong and Britos accomplished. Wilmott looks a real prospect too.

A couple of good substitutions created the second goal and finally put the game to bed, but it was a nice match. Friends made and a healthy respect from both sides shown to each other.

Safely into the hat for the next draw, when so many others have fallen.....Leicester, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Cardiff and Fulham all out and all to lower league opposition, apart from Bournemouth.

It shouldn't be overlooked, this could have been a shocker. Eleven changes, but we controlled the game superbly. Nothing but credit should be given to the side for how they went about the business today.

Penaranda has played barely any football for a year. More rusty than a rusty thing but showed potential in patches. If I were Havy I'd give him some u23 game time over the next few months.

Success has everything to be a very good #9, big, strong, fast, can run with the ball... but all a waste because mother nature forgot to put a brain in his head. What a stupid waste.
